Muwatta Imam Malik 485
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z Zubayr al-Makki from Tawus al-Yamani from Abdullah ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say, when he rose for prayer in the middle of the night, "O Allah, praise belongs to You. You are the light of the heavens and the earth and praise belongs toYou.You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and praise belongs to You. You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them. You are the Truth, and Your words are true. Your promise is true, and the meeting with You is true. The Garden is true and the Fire is true and the Hour is true. O Allah, I submit toYou and I accept You and I trust in You and I turn to You and I argue by You and I summon toYou for judgement. Forgive me what I have sent before me and what I have left behind, what I have kept secret and what I have proclaimed, You are my god - there is no god but You."Allahumma laka'l-hamdu anta nuru's-samawati wa'l-ardi, wa laka'l-hamdu anta qayamu's-Samawati wa'l-ardi, wa laka'l-hamdu anta rabbu's-Samawati wa'l-ardi,wamanfihina.Anta'l-haqqu,waqawluka'lhaqqu, wa waduka'l-haqqu, wa liqa'uka haqqun, wa jannatu haqqun, wa naru haqqun, wa sactu haqqun. Allahumma laka aslamtu, wa bikaamantu, waalayka tawakaltu, wa ilayka anabtu, wa bika khasamtu, wa ilayka hakamtu, fa'ghfirliy ma qadamtu wa akhartu wa asrartu, wa alantu. Anta ilahiy, la ilaha illa ant.

حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب رات کے درمیان میں ( تہجد کی ) نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوتے تو ( تکبیر تحریمہ کے بعد اور سورۂ فاتحہ سے پہلے ) یہ ( دعا ) پڑھتے :’’ اے اللہ ! تیرے ہی لیے سب حمد ہے ، ( کیونکہ ) تو آسمانوں اور زمین کا نُور ( اور انھیں منوّر فرمانے والا ) ہے ، اور تیرے ہی لیے سب حمد ہے ( کیونکہ ) تو آسمانوں اور زمین کو خوب قائم رکھنے والا ہے ، اور تیرے ہی لیے حمد ہے ، ( کیونکہ ) تو آسمانوں اور زمین کا اور جو کوئی بھی ان میں ( رہتے ) ہیں ، اُن سب کا ( تو ہی ) ربّ ہے ، تو برحق ہے ، تیرا ( ہر ایک ) قول برحق ہے ، تیرا ( دیا ہوا ہر ) وعدہ برحق ہے ، تجھ سے ( ہماری ) ملاقات برحق ہے ، جنت برحق ہے ، جہنم برحق ہے ، اور قیامت ( بھی ) برحق ہے ، ( یہ سب غیبی امور مبنی بر حقیقت ہیں اور کچھ یقیناً موجود ہیں اور کچھ آ کر رہیں گے ۔ ) اے اللہ ! تیرے ہی لیے میں مطیع ہوا ، تیرے ساتھ ہی میں ایمان لایا ، تجھ ہی پر میں نے توکل کیا ، تیری ہی طرف میں نے رجوع کیا ، تیرے ہی ساتھ ( اور تیری تائید و نصرت اور توفیق کے ساتھ ) میں نے ( تیرے دشمنوں سے ) جھگڑا کیا اور تیری ہی طرف میں فیصلہ لے کر آیا ، لہٰذا تو میرے لیے اُن تمام گناہوں کی مغفرت فرما جو میں نے پہلے کیے اور جو بعد میں کیے اور جو چھپ کر کیے اور جو علانیہ کیے ، تو ہی میرا معبود ہے ، تیرے سوا کوئی سچا معبود نہیں ہے ۔‘‘
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab raat ke darmiyaan mein (Tahajjud ki) Namaz ke liye kharay hote to (Takbeer Tahrima ke baad aur Surah Fatiha se pehle) yeh (Dua) parhte: “Aye Allah! Tere hi liye sab hamd hai, (kyunki) tu aasmanon aur zameen ka noor (aur unhen munawwar farmane wala) hai, aur tere hi liye sab hamd hai (kyunki) tu aasmanon aur zameen ko khoob qaim rakhne wala hai, aur tere hi liye hamd hai, (kyunki) tu aasmanon aur zameen ka aur jo koi bhi in mein (rehte) hain, un sab ka (tu hi) Rab hai, tu barhaq hai, tera (har ek) qaul barhaq hai, tera (diya hua har) waada barhaq hai, tujhse (hamari) mulaqat barhaq hai, Jannat barhaq hai, Jahannam barhaq hai, aur Qayamat (bhi) barhaq hai, (yeh sab ghaibi umoor mabni bar haqeeqat hain aur kuch yaqeenan maujood hain aur kuch aakar rahenge.) Aye Allah! Tere hi liye mein muti hua, tere saath hi mein imaan laya, tujh hi per maine tawakkal kiya, teri hi taraf maine rujoo kiya, tere hi saath (aur teri taeed o nusrat aur taufeeq ke saath) maine (tere dushmanon se) jhagda kiya aur teri hi taraf mein faisla lekar aaya, lihaza tu mere liye un tamam gunahon ki magfirat farma jo maine pehle kiye aur jo baad mein kiye aur jo chhup kar kiye aur jo alaniya kiye, tu hi mera maabood hai, tere siwa koi sachcha maabood nahi hai.”
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيِّ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ الْيَمَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ ، يَقُولُ : « اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ . أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ . وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ . أَنْتَ قَيَّامُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ . أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ ، أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ ، وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ ، وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ ، وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ ، ⦗ص:٢١٦⦘ وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ ، وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ ، وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ ، اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ ، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ ، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ ، وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ . فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَأَخَّرْتُ . وَأَسْرَرْتُ وَأَعْلَنْتُ . أَنْتَ إِلَهِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ »
