‘A’isha said that God’s Messenger used to make supplication during the prayer saying, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from the punishment in the grave, I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of the antichrist, I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of life and the trial of death. O God, I seek refuge in Thee from sin and debt.” Someone said to him, “How often you seek refuge from debt!” He replied, “When a man is in debt he talks and tells lies, makes promises and breaks them.”

عائشہ ؓ بیان کرتی ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز میں یہ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں عذاب قبر اور مسیح دجال کے فتنے سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، میں موت و حیات کے فتنے سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، اے اللہ ! میں گناہ اور قرض سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ کسی نے آپ ﷺ سے کہا : آپ قرض سے اس قدر کیوں پناہ طلب کرتے ہیں ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ کیونکہ جب آدمی مقروض ہوتا ہے تو وہ بات کرتے ہوئے جھوٹ بولتا ہے ، اور جب وعدہ کرتا ہے تو خلاف ورزی کرتا ہے ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Ayesha bayan karti hain, Rasool Allah namaz mein yeh dua kiya karte thay: “Aye Allah! Mein azab qabar aur Masih Dajjal ke fitnay se teri panaah chahta hun, mein maut o hayat ke fitnay se teri panaah chahta hun, aye Allah! Mein gunah aur qarz se teri panaah chahta hun.” Kisi ne aap se kaha: Aap qarz se is qadar kyun panaah talab karte hain? Aap ne farmaya: “Kyunkay jab aadmi maqrooz hota hai to woh baat karte huye jhoot bolta hai, aur jab waada karta hai to khilaf warzi karta hai.” Mutaffiq Alaih.
Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When one of you finishes the lasttashahhudhe should seek refuge in God Irom four things:the punishment in jahannam, the punishment in the grave, the trial of life and death, and the evil of the antichrist.”

ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جب تم میں سے کوئی تشہد سے فارغ ہو تو وہ چار چیزوں ، عذاب جہنم ، عذاب قبر ، موت و حیات کے فتنے اور مسیح دجال کے فتنے سے اللہ کی پناہ طلب کرے ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Abu Hurairah bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: ''Jab tum mein se koi tashahhud se farigh ho to wo chaar cheezon, azab jahannam, azab qabar, mout o hayat ke fitne aur Masih Dajjal ke fitne se Allah ki panaah talab kare.'' Riwayat Muslim.
Ibn ‘Abbas said that the Prophet used to teach them this prayer just as he used to teach them asuraof the Qur’an, telling them te say, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from the punishment in jahannam, I seek refuge in Thee from the punishment in the grave, I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of the antichrist, and I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of life and death.”

ابن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ انہیں یہ دعا اس اہتمام کے ساتھ سکھایا کرتے تھے جیسے آپ انہیں قرآن کی سورت سکھایا کرتے تھے ، آپ ﷺ فرماتے :’’ کہو ، اے اللہ ! میں عذاب جہنم ، عذاب قبر ، مسیح دجال کے فتنے اور موت و حیات کے فتنے سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Ibn Abbas se riwayat hai keh Nabi unhen yeh dua is ehtimam ke sath sikhaya karte thay jaise aap unhen Quran ki surat sikhaya karte thay, aap farmate: ''kaho, aye Allah! main azab jahannam, azab qabar, Masih Dajjal ke fitne aur maut o hayat ke fitne se teri panah chahta hun.'' Riwayat Muslim.
Abu Bakr as-Siddiq said that he asked God’s Messenger to teach him a supplication to use in his prayer, and he told him to say, “O God, I have greatly wronged myself, and Thou alone canst forgive sins, so grant me forgiveness from Thee and show mercy to me. Thou art the forgiving and the merciful One.”

ابوبکر صدیق ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! مجھے کوئی دعا سکھائیں جو میں اپنی نماز میں کیا کروں ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ کہو ، اے اللہ ! بے شک میں نے اپنی جان پر بہت ظلم کیا ہے ، تیرے سوا گناہوں کو کوئی نہیں بخش سکتا ، سو اپنی جناب سے مجھے بخش دے ، اور مجھ پر رحم فرما ، بے شک تو ہی بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Abu Bakr Siddiq bayan karte hain, maine arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Mujhe koi dua sikhaen jo main apni namaz mein kya karun? Aap ne farmaya: “Kaho, aye Allah! Be shak maine apni jaan par bahut zulm kiya hai, tere siwa gunahon ko koi nahin bakhsh sakta, so apni janab se mujhe bakhsh de, aur mujh par reham farma, be shak tu hi bakhshne wala meherban hai.” Muttafiq Alaih.
‘Amir b. Sa'd quoted his father as saying that he used to see God’s Messenger giving the salutation* to his right and his left, so that he could see the whiteness of his cheek.
*1. I.e. pronouncing thetaslim.

عامر بن سعد ؓ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، انہوں نے کہا : میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کو دائیں بائیں سلام پھیرتے ہوئے دیکھتا تھا حتیٰ کہ میں آپ کے رخسار کی سفیدی بھی دیکھتا تھا ۔ رواہ مسلم ۔
Aamir bin Sad (RA) apne walid se riwayat karte hain, unhon ne kaha: main Rasul Allah (SAW) ko daayein baayein salaam pherte hue dekhta tha hatta ke main aap ke rukhsaar ki safedi bhi dekhta tha. Riwayat Muslim.
‘Abdallah b. Mas'ud said, “None of you must give the devil any place in his prayer, thinking it is his duty when he leaves to turn only to his right. I have often seen God’s Messenger turning to his left when he went away.”

عبداللہ بن مسعود ؓ نے فرمایا :’’ تم میں سے کوئی شخص اپنی نماز سے شیطان کے لیے حصہ نہ بنائے او اس طرح کہ وہ سمجھے کہ (سلام پھیرنے کے بعد) صرف دائیں طرف ہی سے رخ بدلے گا ، حالانکہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو دیکھا کہ آپ اکثر اپنی بائیں جانب سے پھرتے تھے ۔ متفق علیہ ۔
Abdulalh bin Masood ne farmaya: ''Tum mein se koi shakhs apni namaz se shetan ke liye hissa na banaye aur is tarah ke woh samjhe ke (salam phirne ke baad) sirf dayen taraf hi se rukh badlega, halanke main ne Rasool Allah ko dekha ke aap aksar apni baayen jaanib se phirate thay. Muttafiq alaih.
Al-Bara’ said:When we prayed behind God’s Messenger we liked to be on his right side so that he would turn his face towards us. He said that he had heard him say, ‘My Lord, guard me from Thy punishment on the day Thou raisest (or, gatherest) Thy servants.”
Muslim transmitted it.

براء ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، جب ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھتے تو ہم آپ کے دائیں جانب کھڑا ہونا پسند کرتے تھے ، (کیونکہ) آپ ہماری طرف چہرہ مبارک کیا کرتے تھے ۔ نیز فرمایا : میں نے آپ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا :’’ میرے رب ! مجھے اس روز ، جب تو اپنے بندوں کو اٹھائے گا ، اپنے عذاب سے بچانا ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Bara bayan karte hain, jab hum Rasool Allah ke peeche namaz parhte to hum aap ke dayen janib khara hona pasand karte the, (kyunke) aap humari taraf chehra mubarak kiya karte the. Neez farmaya: maine aap ko farmate huey suna: “Mere Rab! Mujhe us roz, jab Tu apne bandon ko uthaye ga, apne azab se bachana.” Rawah Muslim.
Umm Salama said that in the time of God’s Messenger, when the women gave the salutation at the end of the prescribed prayer they got up and departed, but God’s Messenger and the men who prayed remained where they were as long as God wished. Then when God’s Messenger got up the men did so also.

ام سلمہ ؓ بیان کرتی ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ کے دور میں جب خواتین فرض نماز سے سلام پھیرتیں تو وہ کھڑی ہو (کر فوراً چلی) جاتیں ، جبکہ رسول اللہ ﷺ اور آپ کے ساتھ نماز پڑھنے والے صحابہ ، جب تک اللہ چاہتا ، بیٹھے رہتے ، پس جب رسول اللہ ﷺ کھڑے ہوتے تو پھر صحابہ کرام ؓ بھی کھڑے ہوتے ۔ رواہ البخاری ۔\n ہم جابر بن سمرہ ؓ سے مروی حدیث ان شاء اللہ ’’ باب الضحک ‘‘ میں ذکر کریں گے ۔\n
Umme Salma RA bayan karti hain, Rasool Allah SAW ke daur mein jab khawateen farz namaz se salam pherti tou woh khari ho (kar foran chali) jati, jabke Rasool Allah SAW aur ap ke saath namaz parhne wale sahaba, jab tak Allah chahta, baithe rehte, pas jab Rasool Allah SAW khare hote tou phir sahaba kiram RA bhi khare hote. Riwayat Bukhari.
Hum Jabir bin Samra RA se marvi hadees Insha Allah "Baab-ud-Dhak" mein zikar karenge.
We shall mention the tradition of Jabir b. Samura in the chapter on laughing (Book 24; Ch. 7a) if God wills.

معاذ بن جبل بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر فرمایا :’’ معاذ ! میں تم سے محبت کرتا ہوں ۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! میں بھی آپ سے محبت کرتا ہوں ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ہر نماز کے بعد یہ دعا پڑھنا ترک نہ کرنا : میرے رب ! اپنے ذکر و شکر اور اپنی بہترین خالص عبادت کرنے پر میری مدد فرما ۔‘‘ صحیح ۔\nاحمد ، ابوداؤد ، نسائی ، البتہ ابوداؤد نے ’’قال معاذ : وانا احبک‘‘ کے الفاظ ذکر نہیں کیے ۔\n
Muaz bin Jabal bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah SAW ne mera hath pakar kar farmaya: "Muaz! mein tum se mohabbat karta hun." Mein ne arz kiya, Allah ke Rasool! mein bhi aap se mohabbat karta hun, aap SAW ne farmaya: "Har namaz ke baad ye dua parhna tark na karna: Mere Rab! apne zikar o shukar aur apni behtarin khalis ibadat karne par meri madad farma." Sahih. Ahmad, Abu Dawood, Nasa'i, البتہ Abu Dawood ne "قال معاذ : وانا احبك" ke alfaz zikar nahi kiye.
Mu'adh b. Jabal said that God’s Messenger took him by the hand and said, “I love you, Mu'adh,” to which he replied, “And I love you, Messenger of God.” He then told him not to omit to say at the end of every prayer, “My Lord, help me to remember Thee, thank Thee, and worship Thee acceptably.”
Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it, but Abu Dawud did not mention that Mu‘adh said, “And I love you.”

عبداللہ بن مسعود ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ ((السلام علیکم و رحمۃ اللہ)) کہتے ہوئے دائیں طرف سلام پھیرتے حتیٰ کہ آپ کے دائیں رخسار کی سفیدی نظر آ جاتی ، اور ((السلام علیکم و رحمۃ اللہ)) کہتے ہوئے بائیں طرف سلام پھیرتے حتیٰ کہ آپ کے بائیں رخسار کی سفیدی نظر آ جاتی ۔‘‘ ابوداؤد ، نسائی ، ترمذی ، البتہ امام ترمذی نے ((حتیٰ یرٰی بیاض خدہ)) کا ذکر نہیں کیا ۔ صحیح ۔
Abdullah bin Masood bayan karte hain ke Rasool Allah kehte hue dain taraf salam phirte hatta ke aap ke dain rukhsar ki safedi nazar aa jati, aur kehte hue baen taraf salam phirte hatta ke aap ke baen rukhsar ki safedi nazar aa jati. Abu Dawood, Nisa'i, Tirmidhi, albatta Imam Tirmidhi ne ka zikr nahin kiya. Sahih.
‘Abdallah b. Mas'ud said that God’s Messenger used to turn to the right when giving the salutation, “Peace and God’s mercy be upon you,” so that the whiteness of his right cheek could be seen; also to the left when giving the salutation, “Peace and God’s mercy be upon you,” so that the whitness of his left cheek could be seen.
Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi and Nasa’i transmitted it, but Tirmidhi did not mention, “So that the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.” Ibn Majah transmitted it from ‘Ammar b. Yasir.

ابن ماجہ نے عمار بن یاسر ؓ سے اسے روایت کیا ہے ۔ صحیح ۔
Ibn Majah ne Ammar bin Yasir se isay riwayat kya hai. Sahih.
‘Abdallah b. Mas'ud said that the Prophet most commonly turned to his left after his prayer, going to his room.
[Baghawi] transmitted it inSharh as-sunna.

عبداللہ بن مسعود ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، نبی ﷺ زیادہ تر اپنی نماز سے اپنی بائیں طرف ، اپنے حجرے کی طرف پھرا کرتے تھے ۔
Abdallah bin Masud bayan karte hain, Nabi ziada tar apni namaz se apni bayen taraf, apne hujre ki taraf phera karte the.
‘Ata’al-Khurasani quoted al-Mughira as stating that God’s Messenger said, “Theimamshould not pray in the same place as he occupied previously in prayer, but should change his position.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it, but said that ‘Ata’ al-Khurasani was not alive in al-Mughira’s lifetime.

عطاء خراسانی ؒ مغیرہ ؓ سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، انہوں نے کہا ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ امام اس جگہ جہاں اس نے (فرض) نماز پڑھی ہے ، (نفل) نماز نہ پڑھے حتیٰ کہ جگہ بدل لے ۔‘‘ ابوداؤد ، اور انہوں نے فرمایا : عطا خراسانی کی مغیرہ ؓ سے ملاقات ثابت نہیں ۔ ضعیف ۔
Ata Khurasani RA Mughirah RA se riwayat karte hain, unhon ne kaha, Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya: ''Imam us jagah jahan us ne (Farz) Namaz parhi hai, (Nafl) Namaz na parhe hatta ke jagah badal le.'' Abu Dawood, aur unhon ne farmaya: Ata Khurasani ki Mughirah RA se mulaqat sabit nahin. Zaeef.
Anas said that the Prophet urged them to pray and forbade them to leave after prayer before he did.
Abu Dawud transmitted it.

انس ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے انہیں نماز پر ترغیب دلائی اور آپ نے انہیں آپ کے (ان کی طرف پھرنے) سے پہلے اٹھ کر جانے سے منع فرمایا ۔ صحیح ، رواہ ابوداؤد ۔
Anas RA se riwayat hai ke Nabi SAW ne unhen namaz par targheeb dilai aur aap ne unhen aap ke (un ki taraf pherne) se pehle uth kar jane se mana farma diya. Sahih, Riwayat Abu Dawood.
Shaddad b. Aus said that God's Messenger used to say in his prayer, “O God, I ask Thee for steadfastness in carrying out what I am commanded and resolution in following right guidance. I ask Thee to make me grateful for Thy favour and to enable me to worship Thee acceptably. I ask Thee for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask Thee for some of the good of what Thou knowest, I seek refuge in Thee from the evil of what Thou knowest, and I ask Thy forgiveness for what Thou knowest.”
Nasa’i transmitted it, and Ahmad transmitted something similar.

شداد بن اوس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ اپنی نماز میں یہ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں دین کے معاملے میں ثابت قدمی ، رشدو ہدایت پر عزیمت ، تیری نعمت پر شکر اور تیری بہترین اور خالص عبادت کرنے کا تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں ، میں تجھ سے قلب سلیم اور زبان صادق کا سوال کرتا ہوں ، میں اس خیرو بھلائی کا تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں جسے تو جانتا ہے ، اور ہر اس شر سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں جسے تو جانتا ہے ، اور ان گناہوں سے جسے تو جانتا ہے تجھ سے مغفرت طلب کرتا ہوں ۔‘‘ نسائی ، امام احمد نے بھی اسی طرح روایت کیا ہے ۔ حسن ، رواہ النسائی ۔
Shadad bin Aus bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah apni namaz mein yeh dua kiya karte the: “Aye Allah! Main deen ke mamle mein sabat qadmi, rushdo hidayat par izzat, teri naimat par shukr aur teri behtareen aur khalis ibadat karne ka tujhse sawal karta hun, main tujhse qalb saleem aur zaban sadiq ka sawal karta hun, main iss khairu bhalayi ka tujhse sawal karta hun jise tu janta hai, aur har uss shar se teri panaah chahta hun jise tu janta hai, aur un gunahon se jise tu janta hai tujhse magfirat talab karta hun.” Nisai, Imam Ahmad ne bhi isi tarah riwayat kiya hai. Hasan, Riwayat al-Nisai.
Jabir said that God’s Messenger used to say in his prayer after thetashahhud, “The best speech is God’s speech, and the best guidance is Muhammad’s guidance.”
Nasa’i transmitted it.

جابر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ اپنی نماز میں تشہد کے بعد یہ کہا کرتے تھے :’’ بہترین کلام اللہ کا کلام ہے اور سب سے بہترین طریقہ محمد (ﷺ) کا طریقہ ہے ۔‘‘ صحیح ، رواہ النسائی ۔
Jabar bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah apni namaz mein tashud ke bad ye kaha karte the: ''Behtarin kalam Allah ka kalam hai aur sab se behtarin tareeqa Muhammad ka tareeqa hai.'' Sahih, Riwayat al-Nasa'i.
‘A’isha said that God’s Messenger used to give one salutation in the prayer straight in front of him, then incline a little to the right.
Tirmidhi transmitted it.

عائشہ ؓ بیان کرتی ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز میں اپنے چہرے کے سامنے سے ایک سلام پھیرتے پھر تھوڑا سا اپنی دائیں جانب جھک جاتے تھے ۔ ضعیف ۔
Ayesha bayan karti hain, Rasool Allah namaz mein apne chehre ke samne se ek salam pherte phir thora sa apni dayen janib jhuk jate the. Zaeef.
Samura said, “God’s Messenger commanded us to respond to the imam, to love one another, and to salute one another.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it.

سمرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ہمیں حکم دیا کہ ہم امام کے سلام کا جواب دیں ، باہم محبت کریں اور ایک دوسرے کو سلام کریں ۔ ضعیف ۔
Samra RA bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah SAW ne hamen hukum diya ke hum imam ke salam ka jawab dein, baham muhabbat karen aur ek doosre ko salam karen. Zaeef.
