Jabir said:The wife of Sa'd b. ar-Rabi’ brought to God’s Messenger her two daughters whose father was Sa'd b. ar-Rabi' and said, “Messenger of God, these are the daughters of Sa'd b. ar-Rabi’. Their father was killed as a martyr when he was with you at the battle of Uhud, their paternal uncle has taken their property leaving them nothing, and they cannot be married unless they have some property." He replied that God would decide regarding the matter, and when the verse about inheritance (Al-Qur’an 4:11) was sent down God’s Messenger sent to their paternal uncle and said, “Give Sa'd’s two daughters two-thirds and their mother an eighth, and what remains is yours." Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is ahasan gharibtradition.

جابر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، سعد بن ربیع ؓ کی اہلیہ سعد بن ربیع سے اپنی دونوں بیٹیاں لے کر رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں آئی تو عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! یہ دونوں سعد بن ربیع ؓ کی بیٹیاں ہیں ، ان کا والد غزوہ احد میں آپ کے ساتھ شریک ہو کر شہید ہو گیا ۔ ان دونوں کے چچا نے ان کا مال لے لیا ہے اور ان کے لیے کوئی مال نہیں چھوڑا ، اگر مال ہو گا تو ان کی شادی ہو جائے گی ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اس کے متعلق اللہ فیصلہ فرمائے گا ۔‘‘ پس آیتِ میراث نازل ہوئی تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان کے چچا کو پیغام بھیجا کہ سعد ؓ کی دونوں بیٹیوں کو دو تہائی دو اور ان دونوں کی والدہ کو آٹھواں حصہ دو ، اور جو باقی بچے وہ تمہارا ہے ۔‘‘ احمد ، ترمذی ، ابوداؤد ، ابن ماجہ ۔ اور امام ترمذی نے فرمایا : یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ احمد و الترمذی و ابوداؤد و ابن ماجہ ۔
Jibir bayan karte hain, Saad bin Rubi ki ahlia Saad bin Rubi se apni donon betiyan lekar Rasul Allah ki khidmat mein aai to arz kiya: Allah ke Rasul! Ye donon Saad bin Rubi ki betiyan hain, inka walid ghazwa Uhad mein aap ke sath sharik hokar shaheed ho gaya. In donon ke chacha ne inka maal le liya hai aur in ke liye koi maal nahin chhora, agar maal ho ga to inki shadi ho jayegi, aap ne farmaya: ''Iske mutalliq Allah faisla farmayega.'' Pas ayat e miras nazil hui to Rasul Allah ne inke chacha ko paigham bheja ki Saad ki donon betiyon ko do tihai do aur in donon ki walida ko athwan hissa do, aur jo baqi bache wo tumhara hai. Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood, Ibn Majah. Aur Imam Tirmidhi ne farmaya: Ye hadees hasan ghareeb hai. Isnada zaeef, riwayat Ahmed wa Tirmidhi wa Abu Dawood wa Ibn Majah.
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةُ سَعْدِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بِابْنَتَيْهَا مِنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَاتَانِ ابْنَتَا سَعْدِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ قُتِلَ أَبُوهُمَا مَعَكَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ شَهِيدًا وَإِنَّ عَمَّهُمَا أَخَذَ مَالَهُمَا وَلَمْ يَدَعْ لَهُمَا مَالًا وَلَا تُنْكَحَانِ إِلَّا وَلَهُمَا مَالٌ قَالَ: «يَقْضِي اللَّهُ فِي ذَلِكَ» فَنَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْمِيرَاثِ فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى عَمِّهِمَا فَقَالَ: «أَعْطِ لِابْنَتَيْ سَعْدٍ الثُّلُثَيْنِ وَأَعْطِ أُمَّهُمَا الثُّمُنَ وَمَا بَقِيَ فَهُوَ لَكَ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غريبٌ
