Description of the rewards of fighting in Jihad
بيان أجر قتال في الجهاد
Mishkat al-Masabih 3945
‘Abdallah b. ‘Aun said that Nafi‘ wrote to tell him that Ibn ‘Umar informed him the Prophet made an attack on the B. al-Mustaliq attacking their camels in al-Muraisi‘.* He killed the fighting men and took the children captive. * Ibn Ishaq says this expedition took place in Sha'ban, 6 A.H., but this has been questioned, Muraisi’ was a watering-place belonging to the B. al-Mustaliq. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

عبداللہ بن عون ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ (ابن عمر ؓ کے آزاد کردہ غلام) نافع ؒ نے انہیں خط لکھا جس میں انہوں نے انہیں (یعنی مجھے) یہ بتایا کہ ابن عمر ؓ نے انہیں (یعنی نافع کو) خبر دی کہ نبی ﷺ نے بنو مصطلق پر اس وقت حملہ کیا جب وہ مریسیع کے مقام پر اپنے مویشیوں میں غافل تھے ، آپ ﷺ نے جنگجوؤں کو قتل کیا اور بچوں کو قیدی بنایا ۔ متفق علیہ ۔
Abdul Rahman bin Aun se riwayat hai ke (Ibn Umar ke azad kardah ghulam) Nafi ne unhen khat likha jis mein unhon ne unhen (yani mujhe) ye bataya ke Ibn Umar ne unhen (yani Nafi ko) khabar di ke Nabi ne Banu Mustaliq par us waqt hamla kiya jab wo Murisi ke muqam par apne maweshio mein ghafil thay, Aap ne jangjuon ko qatal kiya aur bachchon ko qaidi banaya. Mutaffiq Alaih.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَوْنٍ: أَنَّ نَافِعًا كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ يُخْبِرُهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عمر أخبرهُ أَن ابْن عمر أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَغَارَ عَلَى بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ غَارِّينِ فِي نَعَمِهِمْ بِالْمُرَيْسِيعِ فَقتل الْمُقَاتلَة وسبى الذُّرِّيَّة
