Description of love for wealth and age for obedience and worship of Allah
بيان محبة المال والعمر لطاعة الله وعبادته
Mishkat al-Masabih 5290
It is narrated on the authority of a companion of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: We were in a gathering when suddenly the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived and there were traces of water (i.e. bath) on his head. We said: “O Messenger of Allah! We see you in good spirits.” He ﷺ said: “Yes.” The narrator says, then the people started discussing about wealth (whether it is permissible or impermissible?). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There is no harm in wealth for the one who fears Allah Almighty. Good health is better than wealth for a righteous person, and true happiness is among the blessings.” Its chain of narration is authentic. Narrated by Ahmad.

نبی ﷺ کے ایک صحابی سے روایت ہے ، انہوں نے کہا : ہم ایک مجلس میں تھے کہ اچانک رسول اللہ ﷺ تشریف لائے اور آپ کے سر پر پانی (یعنی غسل) کے اثرات تھے ، ہم نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! ہم آپ کو خوش طبع دیکھ رہے ہیں ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ٹھیک ہے ۔‘‘ راوی بیان کرتے ہیں ، پھر لوگوں نے مال داری کے متعلق غور و خوض کرنا شروع کر دیا (کیا وہ جائز ہے یا ناجائز ؟) رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جو شخص اللہ عزوجل سے ڈرتا ہے اس کے لیے مال داری میں کوئی مضائقہ نہیں ، تقویٰ والے شخص کے لیے صحت مال داری سے بہتر ہے ، اور حقیقی خوشی نعمتوں میں سے ہے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ صحیح ، رواہ احمد ۔
Nabi SAW ke aik sahabi se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Hum aik majlis mein thay ke achanak Rasul Allah SAW tashreef laaye aur aap ke sar par pani (yani ghusl) ke asrat thay, hum ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasul! hum aap ko khush tabaa dekh rahay hain, aap SAW ne farmaya: "Theek hai." Rawi bayan karte hain, phir logon ne maal daari ke mutalliq ghor o khoz karna shuru kar diya (kya woh jaiz hai ya na jaiz?) Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya: "Jo shakhs Allah Azzawajal se darta hai us ke liye maal daari mein koi muzaiqa nahi, taqwa walay shakhs ke liye sehat maal daari se behtar hai, aur haqiqi khushi nematon mein se hai." Isnaadahu Sahih, Riwayat Ahmad.
عَنْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: كُنَّا فِي مَجْلِسٍ فَطَلَعَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ أَثَرُ مَاءٍ فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَرَاكَ طَيِّبَ النَّفْسِ. قَالَ: أَجَلْ. قَالَ: ثُمَّ خَاضَ الْقَوْمُ فِي ذِكْرِ الْغِنَى فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا بَأْسَ بِالْغِنَى لِمَنِ اتَّقَى اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَالصِّحَّةُ لِمَنِ اتَّقَى خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْغِنَى وَطِيبُ النَّفس من النَّعيم» رَوَاهُ أَحْمد
