Sa'd reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Among the signs of a person's good fortune is to be pleased with Allah's decree for him. Among the signs of a person's misfortune is to abandon supplicating to Allah for good. Among the signs of a person's misfortune is to be displeased with Allah's decree for him." (Ahmad, Tirmidhi) It was said: This hadith is gharib. Its chain of narration is weak. It was narrated by Ahmad and Tirmidhi.

سعد ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ انسان کی سعادت مندی اسی میں ہے کہ وہ اپنے بارے میں اللہ کی قضا و قدر پر راضی ہو ، انسان کی بدنصیبی ہے کہ وہ اللہ سے خیر طلب کرنا ترک کر دے اور انسان کی بدنصیبی ہے کہ وہ اپنے بارے میں اللہ کی قضا و قدر پر راضی نہ ہو ۔‘‘ احمد ، ترمذی ، اور فرمایا : یہ حدیث غریب ہے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ احمد و الترمذی ۔
Saad bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: ''Insaan ki saadat mandi isi mein hai ke woh apne baare mein Allah ki qaza o qadar par razi ho, insaan ki badnaseebi hai ke woh Allah se khair talab karna tark kar de aur insaan ki badnaseebi hai ke woh apne baare mein Allah ki qaza o qadar par razi na ho.'' Ahmad, Tirmidhi, aur farmaya: Yeh hadees ghareeb hai. Isnaad zaeef, riwayat Ahmad o Tirmidhi.
وَعَنْ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مِنْ سَعَادَةِ ابْنِ آدَمَ رِضَاهُ بِمَا قَضَى اللَّهُ لَهُ وَمِنْ شَقَاوَةِ ابْنِ آدَمَ تَرْكُهُ اسْتِخَارَةِ اللَّهِ وَمِنْ شَقَاوَةِ ابْنِ آدَمَ سُخْطُهُ بِمَا قَضَى اللَّهُ لَهُ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ
