It is narrated by Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a military expedition to Najd. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned, he (Jabir) returned with him. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were overcome by sleep (qailulah - a nap taken at midday) in a valley with dense, thorny trees. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stopped there (to rest), and the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) dispersed in search of shade under the trees. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stopped beneath a samurah tree and hung his sword on it. We slept for a while, then suddenly the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) started to wake us up. We saw that a Bedouin was with him. He (the Prophet) said: “This man - whilst I was asleep - took my sword. I woke up to find the sword in his hand, unsheathed. He said: “Who will protect you from me?” I said three times: “Allah.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not rebuke him for that, and he sat down. Agreed upon.

جابر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ نجد کی طرف جہاد کیا ، جب رسول اللہ ﷺ واپس آئے تو وہ بھی آپ کے ساتھ واپس آئے ، صحابہ کرام کو گھنے خار دار درختوں کی وادی میں دوپہر کو نیند (قیلولہ) نے آ لیا ، چنانچہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے (آرام کی غرض سے) یہاں پڑاؤ ڈالا اور صحابہ کرام درختوں کے سائے کی تلاش میں الگ الگ ہو گئے ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے کیکر کے درخت کے نیچے پڑاؤ ڈالا اور اپنی تلوار اس (درخت) کے ساتھ لٹکا دی ، اور ہم تھوڑی دیر کے لیے سو گئے ، اچانک رسول اللہ ﷺ ہمیں بلانے لگے ، ہم نے دیکھا کہ ایک اعرابی آپ کے پاس ہے ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اس نے ، مجھ پر میری تلوار سونت لی جبکہ میں اس وقت آرام کر رہا تھا میں بیدار ہوا تو تلوار اس کے ہاتھ میں سونتی ہوئی تھی ، اس نے کہا : تجھے مجھ سے کون بچائے گا ؟ میں نے تین مرتبہ کہا :’’ اللہ (بچائے گا) ۔‘‘ آپ ﷺ نے اس کی کوئی سرزنش نہیں کی اور آپ بیٹھ گئے ۔ متفق علیہ ۔
Jaber RA se riwayat hai ki unhon ne Nabi SAW ke sath Najd ki taraf jihad kya, jab Rasool Allah SAW wapas aaye to woh bhi aap ke sath wapas aaye, Sahaba kiram ko ghane khaar dar darakhton ki wadi mein dopahar ko neend (qailula) ne aa liya, chunancha Rasool Allah SAW ne (aaram ki garz se) yahan parao dala aur Sahaba kiram darakhton ke saaye ki talaash mein alag alag ho gaye, Rasool Allah SAW ne keekar ke darakht ke neeche parao dala aur apni talwar us (darakht) ke sath latka di, aur hum thori dair ke liye so gaye, achanak Rasool Allah SAW hamein bulane lage, humne dekha ki ek arabi aap ke paas hai, aap SAW ne farmaya: ''isne, mujh par meri talwar sont li jabke main us waqt aaram kar raha tha main bedar hua to talwar uske hath mein sonti hui thi, usne kaha: tujhe mujhse kaun bachayega? maine teen martaba kaha: ''Allah (bachayega).'' Aap SAW ne uski koi sarzanish nahin ki aur aap baith gaye. Mutaffiq alaih.
عَن جَابر أَنَّهُ غَزَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قبل نجد فَلَمَّا قَفَلَ مَعَهُ فَأَدْرَكَتْهُمُ الْقَائِلَةُ فِي وَادٍ كَثِيرِ الْعِضَاهِ فَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَفَرَّقَ النَّاسُ يَسْتَظِلُّونَ بِالشَّجَرِ فَنَزَلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَحْتَ سَمُرَةٍ فَعَلَّقَ بِهَا سَيْفَهُ وَنِمْنَا نَوْمَةً فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُونَا وَإِذَا عِنْدَهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ هَذَا اخْتَرَطَ عَلَيَّ سَيْفِي وَأَنَا نَائِمٌ فَاسْتَيْقَظْتُ وَهُوَ فِي يَدِهِ صَلتا. قَالَ: مَا يَمْنَعُكَ مِنِّي؟ فَقُلْتُ: اللَّهُ ثَلَاثًا وَلَمْ يُعَاقِبْهُ وَجلسَ. مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
