Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “It is evil enough for a man that people point at him with regard to his religion or worldly matters (that he becomes notorious), except for a man whom Allah protects." This chain of narration is weak. It was narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Iman.

انس ؓ نبی ﷺ سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ کسی آدمی کے لیے یہی شر کافی ہے کہ اس کے دین یا دنیا کے معاملے میں اس کی طرف انگلیاں اٹھائی جائیں (اس کی شہرت ہو جائے) مگر وہ شخص جسے اللہ محفوظ رکھے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ البیھقی فی شعب الایمان ۔
Anas RA Nabi SAW se riwayat karte hain, Aap SAW ne farmaya: “Kisi aadmi ke liye yahi shar kaafi hai ke uske deen ya duniya ke mamle mein us ki taraf ungliyan uthai jayen (us ki shohrat ho jaye) magar woh shakhs jise Allah mahfooz rakhe.” Isnaad-e-zaeef, Rawah al-Bayhaqi fi Shu’ab al-Iman.
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ\عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «بِحَسب امريءٍ مِنَ الشَّرِّ أَنْ يُشَارَ إِلَيْهِ بِالْأَصَابِعِ فِي دِينٍ أَوْ دُنْيَا إِلَّا مَنْ عَصَمَهُ اللَّهُ» . رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ»\
