Abdullah bin Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was taken on the Night Journey (Mi'raj), he was taken to Sidrat al-Muntaha, which is located on the sixth heaven. It is the limit of everything that ascends from the earth. From this place, commands are taken and whatever decree comes from above, it stops here, and then commands are taken from here. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whatever was supposed to cover Sidrat al-Muntaha was covering it." Ibn Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) explained that it meant locusts made of gold. He (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was granted three things: He was granted the five daily prayers, the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, and forgiveness for whoever among his Ummah (followers) does not die associating partners with Allah (in other words, they do not commit the major sin of shirk). عبداللہ بن مسعود ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، جب رسول اللہ ﷺ کو معراج کرائی گئی تو انہیں سدرۃ المنتہی تک لے جایا گیا ، وہ چھٹے آسمان پر ہے ، زمین سے اوپر جانے والی ہر چیز کی حد یہاں تک ہے ، اسی مقام سے احکامات لئے جاتے ہیں اور اوپر سے جو حکم آتا ہے وہ یہیں آ کر رکتا ہے ، اور پھر یہاں سے احکام لیے جاتے ہیں ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جس چیز نے سدرہ کو ڈھانپنا تھا اس نے اسے ڈھانپ رکھا تھا ۔‘‘ ابن مسعود ؓ نے بیان کیا اس سے مراد یہ ہے کہ وہ سونے کے پروانے اور پتنگے تھے ۔ فرمایا : رسول اللہ ﷺ کو تین چیزیں عطا کی گئیں ، آپ کو پانچ نمازیں عطا کی گئیں ، سورہ بقرہ کی آخری آیات اور آپ کی امت میں سے جو شخص اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک ٹھہرانے جیسے کبیرہ گناہ نہیں کرے گا اس کو بخش دیا جائے گا ۔ رواہ مسلم ۔
Abdullah bin Masood bayan karte hain, jab Rasool Allah ko Meraj karai gai to unhen Sidrat-ul-Muntaha tak le jaya gaya, woh chhate aasman par hai, zameen se upar jane wali har cheez ki had yahan tak hai, isi maqam se ahkamat liye jate hain aur upar se jo hukm aata hai woh yahin aa kar rukta hai, aur phir yahan se ahkam liye jate hain, Aap ne farmaya: ''Jis cheez ne Sidra ko dhanpna tha usne use dhanp rakha tha.'' Ibn Masood ne bayan kiya is se murad yeh hai ki woh sone ke parwaney aur patange thay. Farmaya: Rasool Allah ko teen cheezen ata ki gai, Aap ko panch namazain ata ki gai, Surah Baqarah ki aakhri aayaten aur Aap ki ummat mein se jo shakhs Allah ke sath kisi ko sharik thairaney jaise kabira gunah nahi karega us ko bakhsh diya jayega. وَعَن عبدِ الله قَالَ: لَمَّا أُسْرِيَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْتُهِيَ بِهِ إِلَى سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى وَهِيَ فِي السَّمَاءِ السَّادِسَةِ إِلَيْهَا يَنْتَهِي مَا يُعْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ فَيُقْبَضُ مِنْهَا وَإِلَيْهَا يَنْتَهِي مَا يُهْبَطُ بِهِ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا فَيُقْبَضُ مِنْهَا قَالَ: [إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَى] . قَالَ: فِرَاشٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ قَالَ: فَأُعْطِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثًا: أُعْطِيَ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسَ وَأُعْطِيَ خَوَاتِيمَ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ وَغُفِرَ لمن لَا يشرِكُ باللَّهِ من أمته شَيْئا الْمُقْحمَات. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
