Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: We were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when a Bedouin came. When he drew near, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Do you testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, having no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger?" He said, "Who bears witness to what you say?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This thorny tree." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called it, and it was at the edge of the valley. It came, splitting the earth, until it stood before him. He sought his testimony three times, and it testified three times that he was as he had said. Then it returned to its place. (Hasan Isnad) Narrated by Darimi.

ابن عمر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، ہم ایک سفر میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ تھے ، ایک اعرابی آیا ، جب وہ قریب آ گیا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اسے فرمایا :’’ کیا تم گواہی دیتے ہو کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں ، وہ یکتا ہے ، اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں اور یہ کہ محمد (ﷺ) اس کے بندے اور اس کے رسول ہیں ۔‘‘ اس نے کہا ، آپ جو فرما رہے ہیں اس پر کون گواہی دیتا ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ یہ خار دار درخت ۔‘‘ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اسے بلایا اور وہ وادی کے کنارے پر تھا ، وہ زمین پھاڑتا ہوا آیا حتیٰ کہ وہ آپ کے سامنے کھڑا ہو گیا ۔ آپ نے اس سے تین مرتبہ گواہی طلب کی تو اس نے تین مرتبہ گواہی دی کہ آپ کی شان وہی ہے جیسے کہ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا ہے ، پھر وہ اپنی اگنے کی جگہ پر چلا گیا ۔ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ الدارمی ۔
Ibn Umar bayan karte hain, hum aik safar mein Rasul Allah ke sath thay, aik arabi aaya, jab woh qareeb a gaya to Rasul Allah ne use farmaya: "kia tum gawahi dete ho ke Allah ke siwa koi mabood barhaq nahin, woh yakta hai, uska koi sharik nahin aur yeh ke Muhammad (ﷺ) uske bande aur uske Rasul hain." Usne kaha, aap jo farma rahe hain is par kaun gawahi deta hai? Aap ne farmaya: "yeh k Haar dar darakht." Rasul Allah ne use bulaya aur woh wadi ke kinare par tha, woh zameen pharta hua aaya hatta ke woh aap ke samne khada ho gaya. Aap ne us se teen martaba gawahi talab ki to usne teen martaba gawahi di ke aap ki shaan wohi hai jaise ke aap ne farmaya hai, phir woh apni aagnay ki jaga par chala gaya. وَعَنِ\ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَقْبَلَ أَعْرَابِي فَلَمَّا دنا مِنْهُ قَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولَهُ قَالَ وَمَنْ يَشْهَدُ عَلَى مَا تَقُولُ؟ قَالَ: «هَذِهِ السَّلَمَةُ» فَدَعَاهَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِشَاطِئِ الْوَادِي فَأَقْبَلَتْ تَخُدُّ الْأَرْضَ حَتَّى قَامَتْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَاسْتَشْهِدْهَا ثَلَاثًا فَشَهِدَتْ ثَلَاثًا أَنَّهُ كَمَا قَالَ ثُمَّ رجعتْ إِلى منبتِها. رَوَاهُ الدَّارمِيّ\
