Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "When the time of the Battle of Uhud approached, my father called me at night and said, 'I think I will be the first amongst the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to be martyred. And I am not leaving behind me anyone dearer to me after Allah and His Messenger than you. I am in debt, so repay it. And treat your sisters kindly.' When the morning came, he was the first to be martyred. I buried him with another man in one grave." (Sahih al-Bukhari)

جابر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، جب غزوۂ احد کا وقت آیا تو رات کے وقت میرے والد نے مجھے بلایا اور کہا : میں اپنے متعلق سمجھتا ہوں کہ نبی ﷺ کے صحابہ ؓ میں سے سب سے پہلے میں شہید ہوں گا ، رسول اللہ ﷺ کی ذات مبارک کے علاوہ میں اپنے بعد تجھ سے زیادہ عزیز شخص کوئی نہیں چھوڑ کر جا رہا ، میرے ذمے کچھ قرض ہے اسے ادا کرنا اور اپنی بہنوں کے ساتھ اچھا سلوک کرنا ، صبح ہوئی تو وہ پہلے شہید تھے ، میں نے انہیں ایک دوسرے شخص کے ساتھ ایک قبر میں دفن کیا ۔ رواہ البخاری ۔
Jabar bayan karte hain, jab Gazwa-e-Uhud ka waqt aaya to raat ke waqt mere walid ne mujhe bulaya aur kaha: mein apne mutalliq samajhta hun ke Nabi ke Sahaba mein se sab se pehle mein shaheed hun ga, Rasul Allah ki zaat mubarak ke ilawa mein apne baad tujh se zyada azeez shakhs koi nahi chhor kar ja raha, mere zimme kuch qarz hai ise ada karna aur apni bahnon ke sath acha salook karna, subah hui to woh pehle shaheed the, maine unhein ek dusre shakhs ke sath ek qabar mein dafan kiya. وَعَن جَابر قَالَ: لَمَّا حَضَرَ أُحُدٌ دَعَانِي أَبِي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ مَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا مَقْتُولًا فِي أَوَّلِ مَنْ يُقْتَلُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِنِّي لَا أَتْرُكُ بَعْدِي أَعَزَّ عَلَيَّ مِنْكَ غَيْرَ نَفْسِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِنَّ عَلَيَّ دَيْنًا فَاقْضِ وَاسْتَوْصِ بِأَخَوَاتِكَ خَيْرًا فَأَصْبَحْنَا فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ قَتِيلٍ وَدَفَنْتُهُ مَعَ آخَرَ فِي قبر\رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ\
