Description of the virtues of Hazrat Umar (RA)
بيان مناقب حضرة عمر رضي الله عنه

Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him): "O you who are the best of people after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)!" Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Listen! If you have said this, then I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: 'There is no one better than Umar upon whom the sun has risen.'" (Tirmidhi) And he [Tirmidhi] said: "This hadith is gharib (strange/weak)." Its chain of narration is weak. It was narrated by Tirmidhi.

جابر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، عمر ؓ نے ابوبکر ؓ سے فرمایا : اے وہ انسان جو رسول اللہ ﷺ کے بعد سب سے بہتر شخصیت ہے ! ابوبکر ؓ نے فرمایا : سن لو ! اگر آپ نے یہ بات کی ہے تو میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے :’’ عمر سے بہتر شخص کوئی نہیں جس پر سورج طلوع ہوا ہو ۔‘‘ ترمذی ، اور فرمایا : یہ حدیث غریب ہے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Jabar bayan karte hain, Umar ne Abu Bakr se farmaya: Aye woh insan jo Rasool Allah ke bad sab se behtar shakhsiyat hai! Abu Bakr ne farmaya: Sun lo! Agar aap ne yeh baat ki hai to main ne Rasool Allah ko farmate huye suna hai: ''Umar se behtar shakhs koi nahin jis par sooraj taloo hua ho.'' Tirmidhi, aur farmaya: Yeh hadees ghareeb hai. Isnaad-e-zaeef, Rawah Al-Tirmidhi.
وَعَنْ\جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ: يَا خَيْرَ النَّاسِ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: أَمَا إِنَّكَ إِنْ قُلْتَ ذَلِكَ فَلَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَا طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ خَيْرٍ مِنْ عُمَرَ» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ\
