Description of the virtues of Hazrat Uthman (RA)
بيان مناقب حضرة عثمان رضي الله عنه

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded the pledge of allegiance at Ar-Ridwan, Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) had gone to Makkah as the Messenger's emissary. So the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) gave their pledge of allegiance, whereupon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Verily, Uthman has gone for the work of Allah and His Messenger." Then, he (the Prophet) struck one of his hands with the other, saying that the hand of the Messenger of Allah was better for Uthman than Uthman himself. (Weak Hadith, narrated by At-Tirmidhi)

انس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، جب رسول اللہ ﷺ نے بیعت رضوان کے لیے حکم فرمایا تو عثمان ؓ مکہ کی طرف رسول اللہ ﷺ کے قاصد بن کر گئے تھے ، صحابہ کرام ؓ نے بیعت کی ، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ بلاشبہ عثمان اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے کام گئے ہوئے ہیں ، آپ ﷺ نے اپنا ایک ہاتھ دوسرے پر مارا ، رسول اللہ ﷺ کا ہاتھ ، عثمان ؓ کی خاطر ان کے اپنی ذات کی خاطر ہاتھوں سے بہتر تھا ۔ سندہ ضعیف ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Ans bayan karte hain, jab Rasool Allah ne bai'at Ridhwan ke liye hukm farmaya to Usman Makkah ki taraf Rasool Allah ke qasid ban kar gaye the, Sahaba Kiram ne bai'at ki, to Rasool Allah ne farmaya: ''Bilashuba Usman Allah aur uske Rasool ke kaam gaye hue hain, aap ne apna ek hath dusre par mara, Rasool Allah ka hath, Usman ki khatir unke apni zaat ki khatir hathon se behtar tha. Sanad zaeef, riwayat Tirmidhi.
وَعَن أنسٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِبَيْعَةِ الرِّضْوَانِ كَانَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ رَسُولُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ فَبَايَعَ النَّاسُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِن عُثْمَانَ فِي حَاجَةِ اللَّهِ وَحَاجَةِ رَسُولِهِ» فَضَرَبَ بِإِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى فَكَانَتْ يَدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعُثْمَانَ خَيْرًا من أَيْديهم لأَنْفُسِهِمْ. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
