It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that when, the son of Adam (عليه السالم) recites the verse of Sajdah (prostration) and then falls down in prostration, the Satan goes into seclusion and weeps and says : Alas. And in the narration of Abu Kuraib the words are : Woe unto me, the son of Adam (عليه السالم) was commanded to prostrate, and he prostrated and Paradise was entitled to him and I was commanded to prostrate, but I refused and am doomed to Hell.
حضرت ابو ہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب ابنِ آدم (انسان) سجدہ کی آیت تلاوت کرکے سجدہ کرتا ہے، شیطان روتے ہوئے وہاں سے ہٹ جاتا ہے اور کہتا ہے ہائے اس کی ہلاکت۔“ اور ابو کریب کی روایت میں ہے: ہائے میری تباہی! ابنِ آدم کو سجدہ کا حکم ملا، تو وہ سجدہ کر کے جنّت کا مستحق ٹھہرا اور مجھے سجدہ کا حکم ملا، تو میں انکار کر کے دوزخ کا حق دار ٹھہرا۔“
Hazrat Abu Huraira (Radhi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Jab Ibn-e-Adam (insan) sajda ki aayat tilawat karke sajda karta hai, shaitan rote hue wahan se hat jata hai aur kehta hai haye is ki halakat." Aur Abu Kuraib ki riwayat mein hai: haye meri tabahi! Ibn-e-Adam ko sajda ka hukum mila, to woh sajda kar ke jannat ka mustahiq thehra aur mujhe sajda ka hukum mila, to main inkar kar ke dozakh ka haq-dar thehra."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا قَرَأَ ابْنُ آدَمَ السَّجْدَةَ فَسَجَدَ اعْتَزَلَ الشَّيْطَانُ يَبْكِي يَقُولُ يَا وَيْلَهُ - وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ يَا وَيْلِي - أُمِرَ ابْنُ آدَمَ بِالسُّجُودِ فَسَجَدَ فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَأُمِرْتُ بِالسُّجُودِ فَأَبَيْتُ فَلِيَ النَّارُ " .
