Musa bin Salama al-Hudhali reported that he and Sinan bin Salama proceeded (to Makka to perform Umra. Sinan had a sacrificial camel with him which he was driving. The camel stopped in the way being completely exhausted and this state of it made him (Sinan) helpless. (He thought) if it stops proceeding further how he would be able to take it, along with him and said: I would definitely find out (the religious verdict) about it. I moved on in the morning and as we encamped at al-Batha', (Sinan) said, come (along with me) to Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) so that we should narrate to him (this incident), and he (Sinan) reported to him the incident of the sacrificial camel. Ibn Abbas ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, you have referred (the matter) to the well-informed person. (Now listen) Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent sixteen sacrificial camels with a man whom he put in change of them. He set out and came back and said, Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), what should I do with those who are completely exhausted and become powerless to move on, whereupon he said, slaughter them, and dye their hoofs in their blood, and put them on the sides of their humps, but neither you nor anyone among those who are with you must eat any part of them.
موسیٰ بن سلمہ ہذلی بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں اور سنان بن سلمہ عمرہ کے لیے روانہ ہوئے، سنان اپنے ساتھ قربانی کا اونٹ لے کر چلا، اور وہ راستہ میں ٹھہر گیا، تو سنان، اس کے معاملہ میں بے بس ہو گیا، کہ اگر وہ اونٹ تھک ہار گیا، تو وہ اس کے ساتھ کیا سلوک کرے، اس نے سوچا، اگر میں مکہ مکرمہ پہنچ گیا، تو میں اس کے بارے میں تحقیق کروں گا، اس نے بتایا، میں دوپہر کے وقت چل پڑا، تو جب ہم بطحاء میں اترے، اس نے کہا، آؤ، ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر ان سے گفتگو کریں، اس نے جا کر، ان سے اپنی قربانی کی صورت حال بیان کی، تو انہوں نے فرمایا، تم نے مسئلہ واقف کار سے دریافت کیا ہے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک آدمی کی سپرداری میں سولہ (16) قربانیاں روانہ فرمائیں، وہ شخص چل پڑا، پھر واپس آ گیا، اور پوچھنے لگا، اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! اگر ان میں سے کوئی تھک ہار کر بیٹھ جائے، تو میں اس کا کیا کروں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اس کو نحر کر کے، اس کے گلے میں دونوں جوتے، اس کے خون میں رنگ دینا، پھر اس کے پہلو پر رکھ دینا پھر تو اور تیرے رفقاء میں سے کوئی بھی اس سے نہ کھائے۔
Musa bin Salama Huzli bayan karte hain ki mein aur Sinan bin Salama Umrah ke liye rawana hue, Sinan apne saath qurbani ka oont le kar chala, aur wo rasta mein thehar gaya, to Sinan, us ke mamla mein be bas ho gaya, ki agar wo oont thak haar gaya, to wo us ke saath kya sulook kare, us ne socha, agar mein Makkah Mukarrama pahunch gaya, to mein is ke bare mein tehqeeq karoon ga, us ne bataya, mein dopahar ke waqt chal pada, to jab hum Bat'ha mein utre, us ne kaha, aao, Ibn Abbas (Radiallahu Anhuma) ki khidmat mein hazir ho kar un se guftagu karen, us ne ja kar, un se apni qurbani ki surat hal bayan ki, to unho ne farmaya, tum ne masla waqif kar se daryaft kiya hai, Rasool Allah (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne ek aadmi ki supardagi mein solah (16) qurbaniyan rawana farmayin, wo shakhs chal pada, phir wapas aa gaya, aur poochne laga, Ae Allah ke Rasool (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam)! Agar un mein se koi thak haar kar baith jaye, to mein us ka kya karoon? Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Us ko nahr kar ke, us ke gale mein dono joote, us ke khoon mein rang dena, phir us ke pehlu par rakh dena phir to aur tere rufaqa mein se koi bhi us se na khaye.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ الضُّبَعِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْهُذَلِيُّ، قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَسِنَانُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، مُعْتَمِرَيْنِ قَالَ وَانْطَلَقَ سِنَانٌ مَعَهُ بِبَدَنَةٍ يَسُوقُهَا فَأَزْحَفَتْ عَلَيْهِ بِالطَّرِيقِ فَعَيِيَ بِشَأْنِهَا إِنْ هِيَ أُبْدِعَتْ كَيْفَ يَأْتِي بِهَا . فَقَالَ لَئِنْ قَدِمْتُ الْبَلَدَ لأَسْتَحْفِيَنَّ عَنْ ذَلِكَ . قَالَ فَأَضْحَيْتُ فَلَمَّا نَزَلْنَا الْبَطْحَاءَ قَالَ انْطَلِقْ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ نَتَحَدَّثْ إِلَيْهِ . قَالَ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ شَأْنَ بَدَنَتِهِ . فَقَالَ عَلَى الْخَبِيرِ سَقَطْتَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِسِتَّ عَشْرَةَ بَدَنَةً مَعَ رَجُلٍ وَأَمَّرَهُ فِيهَا - قَالَ - فَمَضَى ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا أُبْدِعَ عَلَىَّ مِنْهَا قَالَ " انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ اصْبُغْ نَعْلَيْهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ عَلَى صَفْحَتِهَا وَلاَ تَأْكُلْ مِنْهَا أَنْتَ وَلاَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ رُفْقَتِكَ " .
