Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) neither recited the Qur'an to the Jinn nor did he see them. The Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) went out with some of his Companions with the intention of going to the bazaar of 'Ukaz and there had been (at that time) obstructions between satans and the news from the Heaven, and there were flung flames upon them. So the Devils went back to their people and they said: What has happened to you? They said: Obstructions have been created between us and the news from the Heaven and flames have been flung upon us. They said: it cannot happen but for some (important) reason. So traverse the eastern parts of the earth and the western parts and find out why is it that there obstructions have been created between us and the news from the Heaven. So they went forth and traversed the easts of the earth and its wests. Some of them proceeded towards Tihama and that is a Nakhl towards the bazaar of 'Ukaz and he (the Prophet ﷺ) was leading his Companions in the morning prayer. So when they heard the Qur'an. they listened to it attentively and said: It is this which has caused obstruction between us and news from the Heaven. They went back to their people and said: O our people, we have heard a strange Qur'an which directs us to the right path; so we affirm our faith in it and we would never associate anyone with our Lord. And Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed to His Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) - [ Say, (O Prophet ﷺ), 'It is revealed to me that a group of jinns listened (to the Quran) and said (to their fellow jinns) : ‘Indeed, we have heard a wondrous recitation. ] (Al-Jinn - 1).
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالی عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نہ جنوں کو قرآن سنایا اور نہ ان کو دیکھا، (اصل واقعہ یہ ہے) کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک مرتبہ اپنے چند ساتھیوں کے ساتھ عکاظ کے بازار کی طرف گئے، ان دنوں آسمانی خبر اور شیطانوں کے درمیان رکاوٹ پیدا ہو چکی تھی (شیطان آسمانی خبریں نہیں سن سکتے تھے) اور ان پر انگارے (شہاب ثاقب) پھینکے جانے لگے تھے تو شیاطین اپنی قوم کے پاس واپس آئے، انہوں نے پوچھا، کیا بات ہوئی؟ انہوں نے کہا، ہمیں آسمانی خبریں لینے سے روک دیا گیا ہے، اور ہم پر انگارے پھینکے جاتے ہیں، انہوں نے کہا، تمہارے اور آسمانی خبر کے درمیان کوئی نئی چیز حائل ہوئی ہے، اس لیے تم زمین کے مشرق اور مغرب میں پھیل جاؤ، اور دیکھو یہ ہمارے اور آسمانی خبر کے درمیان حائل ہونے والی چیز کیا ہے؟ (کس سبب اور وجہ سے ہمیں آسمانی خبریں سننے سے روک دیا گیا ہے) اس پر وہ نکل کر زمین کے مشرق اور مغرب میں پھیل گئے تو جس گروہ نے تہامہ کا رخ کیا تھا، وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس سے گزرے اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نخل نامی جگہ میں عکاظ کے بازار کی طرف جاتے ہوئے، اپنے ساتھیوں کو صبح کی نماز پڑھا رہے تھے تو جب جنوں نے قرآن سنا اس پر کان لگا دئیے اور کہنے لگے یہی وہ چیز ہے جو ہمارے اور آسمانی خبروں کے درمیان حائل ہو چکی ہے اس کے بعد وہ اپنی قوم کے پاس واپس آ گئے اور کہنے لگے، اے ہماری قوم! ہم نے حیرت انگیز قرآن سنا ہے، جو سیدھی راہ کی طرف رہنمائی کرتا ہے، اس لیے ہم اس پر ایمان لے آئے ہیں، اور ہم اپنے رب کے ساتھ ہرگز کسی کو شریک نہیں ٹھہراتے، اس وقت اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبی محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر یہ آیات اتاری، فرما دیجیئے! ”مجھ پر یہ وحی اتاری گئی ہے، واقعہ یہ ہے کہ جنوں کی ایک جماعت نے قرآن سنا۔“ (الجن: ۴)
Hazrat Ibn-e-Abbas (Radhiallahu Anhum) se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne na jinon ko Quran sunaya aur na un ko dekha, (asal waqia ye hai) ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ek martaba apne chand sathiyon ke saath Ukaz ke bazar ki taraf gaye, in dinon aasmani khabar aur shaitanon ke darmiyan rukawat paida ho chuki thi (shaitan aasmani khabrein nahi sun sakte thay) aur un par angare (shihab-e-saqib) phenke jane lage thay to shayateen apni qaum ke paas wapas aaye, unhon ne poocha, kya baat hui? Unhon ne kaha, humein aasmani khabrein lene se rok diya gaya hai, aur hum par angare phenke jate hain, unhon ne kaha, tumhare aur aasmani khabar ke darmiyan koi nayi cheez haail hui hai, is liye tum zameen ke mashriq aur maghrib mein phail jao, aur dekho ye hamare aur aasmani khabar ke darmiyan haail hone wali cheez kya hai? (Kis sabab aur wajah se humein aasmani khabrein sunne se rok diya gaya hai) is par wo nikal kar zameen ke mashriq aur maghrib mein phail gaye to jis giroh ne Tihama ka rukh kiya tha, wo Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ke paas se guzre aur Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) Nakhl nami jagah mein Ukaz ke bazar ki taraf jate hue, apne sathiyon ko subah ki namaz parha rahe thay to jab jinon ne Quran suna is par kaan laga diye aur kehne lage yahi wo cheez hai jo hamare aur aasmani khabron ke darmiyan haail ho chuki hai is ke baad wo apni qaum ke paas wapas aa gaye aur kehne lage, ae hamari qaum! hum ne hairat angez Quran suna hai, jo seedhi raah ki taraf rehnumai karta hai, is liye hum is par iman le aaye hain, aur hum apne Rabb ke saath hargiz kisi ko shareek nahi thehrate, is waqt Allah Ta'ala ne apne Nabi Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) par ye aayat utaari, farma dijiye! 'Mujh par ye wahi utaari gayi hai, waqia ye hai ke jinon ki ek jamaat ne Quran suna.' (Al-Jinn: 4)
حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ مَا قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى الْجِنِّ وَمَا رَآهُمُ انْطَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي طَائِفَةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ عَامِدِينَ إِلَى سُوقِ عُكَاظٍ وَقَدْ حِيلَ بَيْنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَبَيْنَ خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ وَأُرْسِلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّهُبُ فَرَجَعَتِ الشَّيَاطِينُ إِلَى قَوْمِهِمْ فَقَالُوا مَا لَكُمْ قَالُوا حِيلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ وَأُرْسِلَتْ عَلَيْنَا الشُّهُبُ . قَالُوا مَا ذَاكَ إِلاَّ مِنْ شَىْءٍ حَدَثَ فَاضْرِبُوا مَشَارِقَ الأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا فَانْظُرُوا مَا هَذَا الَّذِي حَالَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ . فَانْطَلَقُوا يَضْرِبُونَ مَشَارِقَ الأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا فَمَرَّ النَّفَرُ الَّذِينَ أَخَذُوا نَحْوَ تِهَامَةَ - وَهُوَ بِنَخْلٍ - عَامِدِينَ إِلَى سُوقِ عُكَاظٍ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ صَلاَةَ الْفَجْرِ فَلَمَّا سَمِعُوا الْقُرْآنَ اسْتَمَعُوا لَهُ وَقَالُوا هَذَا الَّذِي حَالَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ . فَرَجَعُوا إِلَى قَوْمِهِمْ فَقَالُوا يَا قَوْمَنَا { إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا * يَهْدِي إِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِهِ وَلَنْ نُشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا} فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى نَبِيِّهِ مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم { قُلْ أُوحِيَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ} .
