Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to supplicate during the time of trouble (in these words), ‘there is no god but Allah, the Great, the Tolerant, there is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Heaven and the earth, the Lord of the magnificent Throne.’
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پریشانی کے وقت یہ کلمات پڑھتے۔"اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں وہ بڑی عظمت والا،بردبار ہے۔ کوئی مالک و معبود نہیں اللہ کے سوا وہ عرش عظیم کا مالک ہے۔ کوئی معبود نہیں اللہ کے سوا، اللہ آسمانوں کا مالک ہے اور زمین کا مالک ہے اور عرش کریم کا مالک ہے۔
Hazrat Ibn 'Abbas (Raziyallahu Anhuma) bayan karte hain ki Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) pareshani ke waqt yeh kalimaat padhte. "Allah ke siwa koi Ma'bood nahin woh badi azmat wala, burdbar hai. Koi malik wa Ma'bood nahin Allah ke siwa woh 'Arsh-e-'Azeem ka malik hai. Koi Ma'bood nahin Allah ke siwa, Allah aasmanon ka malik hai aur zameen ka malik hai aur 'Arsh-e-Kareem ka malik hai."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ - وَاللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ سَعِيدٍ - قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ الْكَرْبِ " لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ " .
