Chapter: The words of the prophet saws: "A Group of my Ummah will continue to Prevail on the basis of the Truth, and They will not be Harmed by those who oppose them."

باب قَوْلِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لاَ تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ لاَ يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ»

Sahih Muslim 1037d
It has been related by Yazid bin al-Asamm that he heard Mu'awiya bin Abu Sufyan quote a tradition from the Prophet (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) which he related from the Prophet (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم), and he did not hear him quote from the Prophet (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) any tradition other than this in the course of his sermon from the pulpit that whom Allah wants to do a favor, He grants him an understanding of religion. A group of people from the Muslims will remain on the Right Path and continue until the Day of Judgment to triumph over those who oppose them.
یزید بن اصم بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے معاویہ بن ابی سفیان رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے منبر پر اس حدیث کے سوا کوئی حدیث نہیں سنی تھی، انہوں نے بتایا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ جس کے ساتھ کسی خیر کا ارادہ کرتا ہے، اسے دین کی سوجھ بوجھ عطا فرماتا ہے اور مسلمانوں کی ایک جماعت ہمیشہ دین کی خاطر لڑتی رہے گی، جو قیامت تک اپنے دشمنوں پر غالب رہے گی۔“
Yazid bin Assam bayan karte hain ke main ne Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (Raziallahu Anhu) se mimbar par is Hadees ke siwa koi Hadees nahin suni thi, unhon ne bataya, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Allah Ta'ala jis ke saath kisi khair ka iradah karta hai, use Deen ki soojh boojh ata farmata hai aur Musalmanon ki ek jama'at hamesha Deen ki khatir ladti rahegi, jo Qayamat tak apne dushmanon par ghalib rahegi."
وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ بُرْقَانَ - حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الأَصَمِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، ذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا رَوَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ رَوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى مِنْبَرِهِ حَدِيثًا غَيْرَهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ وَلاَ تَزَالُ عِصَابَةٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى مَنْ نَاوَأَهُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
