Sahih Muslim 1092a
Abdullah bin Mas'ud (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, Bilal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) would pronounce Adhan (at the fag end of the night in order to inform the people about the time of the Suhur). So, you eat and drink till you hear the Adhan of Ibn Umm Maktum (which was pronounced at the conclusion of the Suhur and the commencement of the fast).
حضرت عبد اللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”بلال رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ رات کو اذان دیتا ہے تو کھاتے پیتے رہو حتی کہ تم ابن ام مکتوم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی اذان سن لو۔“
Hazrat Abdullah (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Bilal (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) raat ko azan deta hai toh khatay peetay raho hatta ke tum Ibn-e-Umm-e-Maktoom (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) ki azan sun lo."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ، سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، - رضى الله عنه - عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ " إِنَّ بِلاَلاً يُؤَذِّنُ بِلَيْلٍ فَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى تَسْمَعُوا تَأْذِينَ ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ " .
