Sahih Muslim 1101a
Abdullah bin Abi Aufa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that they were with the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) on a journey during the month of Ramadan. When the sun had sunk, he said, so and so, get down (from your ride) and prepare the meal of parched barley for us. He said, Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), still (there is light of) day. The Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, get down and prepare meal of parched barley for us. So, he got down and prepared the meal of parched barley and offered him, and the apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) drank that (liquid meal). He then told with the gesture of his hand that when the sun sank from that side and the night appeared from that side, then the observer of the fast should break it.
حضرت عبداللہ بن اوفیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ہم ماہ رمضان کے ایک سفر میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے جب سورج غروب ہو گیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اے فلاں! سواری سے اتر کر ہمارے لیے ستو بھگو یا گھول۔“ اس نے عرض کیا: اے اللہ کے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! ابھی تو دن موجود ہے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:ا ”تر کر ہمارے لیے ستو گھول“ وہ اترا اور ستو تیار کر کے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس لے آیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کو پی لیا۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہاتھ کے اشارے سے بتایا: ”جب سورج ادھر ڈوب جائے اور اس سمت (مشرق) سے رات آجائے تو روزہ دار وقت افطار میں داخل ہو گیا۔“
Hazrat Abdullah bin Awfa (Raziallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke hum mah-e-Ramzan ke ek safar mein Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke sath the jab sooraj gharoob ho gaya to aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Aye falan! Sawari se utar kar hamare liye sattu bhigo ya ghol." Usne arz kiya: Aye Allah ke Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)! Abhi to din maujood hai. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: Utar kar hamare liye sattu ghol. Woh utara aur sattu tayar kar ke aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke pas le aaya to aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne unko pi liya. Phir aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne hath ke isharay se bataya: "Jab sooraj idhar doob jaye aur is simt (mashriq) se raat aa jaye to rozedar waqt-e-iftar mein dakhil ho gaya."
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي سَفَرٍ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمَّا غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ قَالَ " يَا فُلاَنُ انْزِلْ فَاجْدَحْ لَنَا " . قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ عَلَيْكَ نَهَارًا . قَالَ " انْزِلْ فَاجْدَحْ لَنَا " . قَالَ فَنَزَلَ فَجَدَحَ فَأَتَاهُ بِهِ فَشَرِبَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ قَالَ بِيَدِهِ " إِذَا غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ هَا هُنَا وَجَاءَ اللَّيْلُ مِنْ هَا هُنَا فَقَدْ أَفْطَرَ الصَّائِمُ " .
