Chapter: The Prophet's Fasts at times other than Ramadan; and it is recommended to ensure that no month is free of fasting

بَاب صِيَامِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَيْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَاسْتِحْبَابِ أَنْ لَا يُخْلِيَ شَهْرًا عَنْ صَوْمٍ

Sahih Muslim 1156d

A Hadith like this has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Shaqiq but in the chain of transmitters no mention is made of Hisham and Muhammad.

امام صاحب یہی روایت قتیبہ سے بیان کرتے ہیں لیکن اس سند میں ہشام اور محمد کا نام نہیں لیتے۔

Imam Sahab yahi riwayat Qutaybah se bayan karte hain lekin is sanad mein Hisham aur Muhammad ka naam nahi lete.

وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - بِمِثْلِهِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِي الإِسْنَادِ هِشَامًا وَلاَ مُحَمَّدًا ‏.‏
