Chapter: Prohibition of Fasting for a lifetime for the one who will be harmed by that or who will neglect other duties, or does not break his fast on the two 'Ids or during the days of At-Tashriq; It is better to fast alternate days

بَاب النَّهْيِ عَنْ صَوْمِ الدَّهْرِ لِمَنْ تَضَرَّرَ بِهِ أَوْ فَوَّتَ بِهِ حَقًّا أَوْ لَمْ يُفْطِرْ الْعِيدَيْنِ وَالتَّشْرِيقَ وَبَيَانِ تَفْضِيلِ صَوْمِ يَوْمٍ وَإِفْطَارِ يَوْمٍ
Sahih Muslim 1159g
This Hadith has been narrated by Ibn Juraij with the same chain of transmitters. Imam Muslim has narrated this Hadith on the authority of Abu Abbas al-Sa'ib bin Farrukh and he was a trustworthy and reliable (narrator) among the people of Makka.
امام صاحب یہی روایت ایک اور استاد سے ابن جریج ہی کی سند سے بیان کرتے ہیں اس میں عطاء کہتے ہیں ابو العباس الشاعر نے خبر دی ہے امام مسلم فرماتے ہیں ابو العباس السائب بن فروغ مکہ کا باشندہ ثقہ اور عادل ہے (عام شاعروں کی طرح غیر معتبر نہیں ہے)-
Imam Sahab yahi riwayat ek aur ustad se Ibn Juraij hi ki sanad se bayan karte hain is mein Ata kehte hain Abu al-Abbas al-Sha'ir ne khabar di hai Imam Muslim farmate hain Abu al-Abbas al-Sa'ib bin Farogh Makkah ka bashindah thiqa aur aadil hai (aam shairon ki tarah ghair motabar nahin hai).
وَحَدَّثَنِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَالَ إِنَّ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ الشَّاعِرَ أَخْبَرَهُ . قَالَ مُسْلِمٌ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ السَّائِبُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ ثِقَةٌ عَدْلٌ .
