Sahih Muslim 1187a
Ubaid bin Juraij said to Ahdullah bin Umar ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) O Abdur Rahman, I find you doing four things which I do not see anyone among your companions do. He said, O son of Juraij, what are these? He said, You (while circumambulating the Ka'ba) do not touch but the two pillars situated on the side of yaman (south), and I find you wearing the sandals of tanned leather, and I find you with dyed beard and head, and I also found that, when you were at Makka, the people pronounced Talbiya as they saw the new moon (Dhu'l-Hijja), but you did not do it till the 8th of Dhu'l-Hijja. Upon this Abdullab bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, (So far as the touching of) the pillars is concerned, I did not see the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) touching them but only those situated on the side of yaman. (So far as the wearing of) the shoes of tanned leather are concerned, I saw the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) wearing shoes without hair on them, and he (wore them with wet feet) after performing ablution, and I like to wear them. So far as the yellowness is concerned, I saw the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) dyeing (head, beard and cloth) with this color, and I love to dye (my head, beard or cloth) with this color. And so far as the pronouncing of Talbiya is concerned, I did not see the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) pronouncing it until his camel proceeded on (to Dhu'l-Hulaifa).
عبید بن جریح بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہما سے پوچھا، اے ابو عبدالرحمٰن! میں نے آپ کو چار ایسے کام کرتے دیکھا ہے جو میں نے آپ کے ساتھیوں میں سے کسی اور کو کرتے نہیں دیکھا، انہوں نے پوچھا، اے ابن جریج! وہ کون سے کام ہیں؟ ابن جریج نے کہا، میں نے آپ کو دیکھا ہے کہ آپ (بیت اللہ) کے (چار) ارکان میں سے صرف دو یمانی رکنوں کو مس کرتے ہیں اور میں نے آپ کو دیکھا ہے آپ سبتی جوتے پہنتے ہیں اور میں نے آپ کو دیکھا ہے، آپ زرد رنگ سے (بال) رنگتے ہیں اور میں نے آپ کو دیکھا ہے جب آپ مکہ میں ہوتے ہیں لوگ تو چاند دیکھ کر احرام باندھ لیتے ہیں اور آپ آٹھ ذوالحجہ تک احرام نہیں باندھتے تو عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہما نے جواب دیا: رہا ارکان کا مسئلہ تو میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دو یمانی کونوں کے سوا (کونے) کو مس کرتے نہیں دیکھا، رہے سبتی جوتے تو میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایسے جوتے پہنتے دیکھا جو بالوں کے بغیر تھے اور ان میں وضو کرتے تھے، اس لیے میں ان کو پہننا پسند کرتا ہوں، رہا زرد رنگ تو میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو زرد رنگ استعمال کرتے دیکھا، اس لیے میں اس کے استعمال کو پسند کرتا ہوں اور رہا احرام کا مسئلہ تو میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اس وقت تک احرام باندھتے نہیں دیکھا یہاں تک کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی سواری آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو لے کھڑی ہوتی۔
Ubaid bin Juraij bayan karte hain ke maine Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radiallahu Anhuma) se poocha, "Aye Abu Abdur Rahman! Maine aap ko char aise kaam karte dekha hai jo maine aap ke sathiyon mein se kisi aur ko karte nahin dekha." Unhone poocha, "Aye Ibn Juraij! Woh kaun se kaam hain?" Ibn Juraij ne kaha, "Maine aap ko dekha hai ke aap (Baitullah) ke (char) arkan mein se sirf do Yamani ruknon ko mas karte hain aur maine aap ko dekha hai aap sabti joote pehante hain aur maine aap ko dekha hai, aap zard rang se (baal) rangte hain aur maine aap ko dekha hai jab aap Makkah mein hote hain log to chand dekh kar ehram bandh lete hain aur aap aath Dhul Hijjah tak ehram nahin bandhte." To Abdullah bin Umar (Radiallahu Anhuma) ne jawab diya: "Raha arkan ka masla to maine Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko do Yamani konon ke siwa (kone) ko mas karte nahin dekha, rahe sabti joote to maine Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko aise joote pehante dekha jo baalon ke baghair the aur un mein wazu karte the, is liye main unko pehanna pasand karta hoon, raha zard rang to maine Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko zard rang istemal karte dekha, is liye main uske istemal ko pasand karta hoon aur raha ehram ka masla to maine Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko us waqt tak ehram bandhte nahin dekha yahan tak ke Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki sawari Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko le khadi hoti."
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رضى الله عنهما يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ رَأَيْتُكَ تَصْنَعُ أَرْبَعًا لَمْ أَرَ أَحَدًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِكَ يَصْنَعُهَا . قَالَ مَا هُنَّ يَا ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُكَ لاَ تَمَسُّ مِنَ الأَرْكَانِ إِلاَّ الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ وَرَأَيْتُكَ تَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ السِّبْتِيَّةَ وَرَأَيْتُكَ تَصْبُغُ بِالصُّفْرَةِ وَرَأَيْتُكَ إِذَا كُنْتَ بِمَكَّةَ أَهَلَّ النَّاسُ إِذَا رَأَوُا الْهِلاَلَ وَلَمْ تُهْلِلْ أَنْتَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ . فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَمَّا الأَرْكَانُ فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَمَسُّ إِلاَّ الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ وَأَمَّا النِّعَالُ السِّبْتِيَّةُ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ الَّتِي لَيْسَ فِيهَا شَعَرٌ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ فِيهَا فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَلْبَسَهَا وَأَمَّا الصُّفْرَةُ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصْبَغُ بِهَا فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَصْبَغَ بِهَا وَأَمَّا الإِهْلاَلُ فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُهِلُّ حَتَّى تَنْبَعِثَ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ .
