Chapter: The prohibition of hunting game for the one who has entered Ihram for Hajj or for Umrah or for both

باب تَحْرِيمِ الصَّيْدِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ
Sahih Muslim 1193a
As-Sa'b bin Jaththama al-Laithi (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he presented a wild ass to Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) when he was at al-Abwa', or Waddan, and he refused to accept it. He (the narrator) said, when the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) looked into my face (which had the mark of sorrow as my present had not been taken by him) he said, we have refused it only because we are in a state of Ihram.
حضرت صعب بن جثامہ لیثی رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ اس نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو جنگلی گدھا پیش کیا، جبکہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مقام ابواء یا ودان میں تھے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے واپس کر دیا، پھر جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میرے چہرے کی کیفیت (ملال) کو دیکھا تو فرمایا: ”ہم نے صرف اس بنا پر اسے تجھے واپس کیا ہے کہ ہم محرم ہیں۔“
Hazrat Sa'b bin Jathamma Laythi (Radiallahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke usne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko jungli gaddha pesh kiya, jabke Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) maqam Abwa ya Widan mein the to Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne use wapas kar diya, phir jab Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mere chehre ki kaifiyat (malal) ko dekha to farmaya: "Humne sirf is bina par use tujhe wapas kiya hai ke hum muharram hain."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ، عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، أَنَّهُ أَهْدَى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِمَارًا وَحْشِيًّا وَهُوَ بِالأَبْوَاءِ - أَوْ بِوَدَّانَ - فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ فَلَمَّا أَنْ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا فِي وَجْهِي قَالَ " إِنَّا لَمْ نَرُدَّهُ عَلَيْكَ إِلاَّ أَنَّا حُرُمٌ " .
