Chapter: Clarifying the types of Ihram; and that it is permissible to perfom Hajj that is Ifrad, Tamattu and Qiran. It is permissible to join Hajj to Umrah. And when the pilgrim who is performing Qiran should exit Ihram

Sahih Muslim 1211j
Ummul Momineen A'isha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that we proceeded with the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) with no other intention but that of performing the Hajj till we came (to the place known as) Sarif; and there I entered in the state of menses. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came to me while I was weeping. He said, what makes you weep? I said, would that I had not come (for Pilgrimage) this year. He said, what has happened to you? You have perhaps entered the period of menses. I said, yes. He said, this is what has been ordained for the daughters of Adam (عليه السالم). Do what a pilgrim does except that you should not circumambulate the House, till you are purified (of the menses). She said, when I came to Makka, the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to his companions, make this (Ihram) the Ihram for 'Umra. So, the people put off Ihram except those who had sacrificial animals with them. She said, the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had the sacrificial animal with him, and so had Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه), 'Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and other persons of means. They (those who had put off Ihram again) put on Ihram (for Hajj) when they marched (towards Mina), and it was the 8th of Dhu'l-Hijja. She said, when it was the day of sacrifice (10th of Dhu'l-Hijja), I was purified, and the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) commanded me, and I did the circumambulation of Ifada. She said that the meat of cow was sent to us. I said, what is it? They said, the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) has offered a cow as sacrifice on behalf of his wives. When it was the night at Hasba, I said, Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), people are coming back from Hajj and Umra, whereas I am coming back from Hajj (alone). She reported, he commanded Abdur Rahman bin Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) to mount me upon his camel behind him. She said, I was very young, and I well remember that I dozed off and my face touched the hind part of the haudaj (camel litter) till we came to Tan'im, and entered into the state of Ihram in lieu of Umra and which the people had performed.
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں، ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نکلے، ہمیں صرف حج پیش نظر تھا، حتی کہ ہم مقام سرف پر پہنچے تو مجھے حیض شروع ہو گیا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے پاس تشریف لائے جبکہ میں رو رہی تھی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا، کیوں رو رہی ہو؟ میں نے عرض کیا، اللہ کی قسم! میری خواہش ہے کہ میں اس سال حج کے لیے نہ نکلتی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تجھے کیا ہوا؟ شاید تمہیں حیض شروع ہو گیا ہے؟“ میں نے عرض کیا، جی ہاں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”یہ تو ایسا معاملہ ہے جو اللہ نے آدم علیہ السلام کی بیٹیوں کے لیے لازم ٹھہرایا ہے، جو کام حاجی کرتے ہیں، تم بھی کرو، صرف اتنی بات ہے کہ جب تک پاک نہ ہو جاؤ، بیت اللہ کا طواف نہ کرنا۔“ تو جب میں مکہ پہنچی، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے ساتھیوں کو حکم دیا: ”اپنے حج کو عمرہ بنا ڈالو۔“ تو تمام لوگ ان کے سوا جن کے پاس ہدی تھی، حلال ہو گئے اور ہدی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ، ابوبکر، عمر اور اصحاب ثروت رضی اللہ عنہم اجمعین کے پاس تھی، پھر جب وہ منیٰ کی طرف چلے تو انہوں نے احرام باندھ لیا تو جب قربانی کا دن آ گیا، میں پاک ہو گئی، (حیض آنا بند ہو گیا) مجھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے طواف افاضہ کا حکم دیا، پھر ہمارے پاس گائے کا گوشت لایا گیا تو میں نے پوچھا، یہ کیا ہے؟ تو انہوں نے جواب دیا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی ازواج مطہرات کی طرف سے ہدی میں گائے ذبح کی ہے، جب مَحصَب کی رات ہوئی، میں نے عرض کیا، لوگ الگ حج اور عمرہ کر کے لوٹیں گے اور میں صرف حج کر کے لوٹوں گی؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عبدالرحمٰن بن ابی بکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو حکم دیا، اس نے مجھے اپنے اونٹ پر پیچھے سوار کر لیا، مجھے اچھی طرح یاد ہے، میں نو عمر لڑکی تھی، مجھے اونگھ آ جاتی تو میرا چہرہ پالان کی پچھلی لکڑی سے ٹکراتا، حتی کہ ہم تنعیم پہنچ گئے، میں نے وہاں سے عمرہ کا احرام باندھا جو لوگوں کے اس عمرہ کی جگہ تھا، جو انہوں نے کیا تھا۔
Hazrat Ayesha (Radiallahu Anha) bayan karti hain, hum Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke saath nikle, hamein sirf Hajj pesh nazar tha, hatta ke hum maqam Saraf par pahunche to mujhe haiz shuru ho gaya, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) mere paas tashreef laye jabke main ro rahi thi to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne poocha, "Kyun ro rahi ho?" Maine arz kiya, "Allah ki qasam! Meri khwahish hai ke main is saal Hajj ke liye na nikalti." Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Tujhe kya hua? Shayad tumhein haiz shuru ho gaya hai?" Maine arz kiya, "Ji haan." Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Yeh to aisa mamla hai jo Allah ne Adam (Alaihissalam) ki betiyon ke liye lazim thehraya hai, jo kaam haji karte hain, tum bhi karo, sirf itni baat hai ke jab tak pak na ho jao, Baitullah ka tawaf na karna." To jab main Makkah pahunchi, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne apne sathiyon ko hukm diya: "Apne Hajj ko umrah bana dalo." To tamam log unke siwa jin ke paas hadi thi, halal ho gaye aur hadi Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), Abu Bakr, Umar aur ashab-e-sarwat (Radiallahu Anhum Ajma'in) ke paas thi, phir jab woh Mina ki taraf chale to unhone ehram bandh liya to jab Qurbani ka din aa gaya, main pak ho gai, (haiz aana band ho gaya) mujhe Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne tawaf-e-ifadah ka hukm diya, phir hamare paas gay ka gosht laya gaya to maine poocha, "Yeh kya hai?" To unhone jawab diya, "Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne apni azwaj-e-mutahharat ki taraf se hadi mein gay zibah ki hai," jab Mahsab ki raat hui, maine arz kiya, "Log alag Hajj aur umrah kar ke lautenge aur main sirf Hajj kar ke lootoongi?" To Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr (Radiallahu Anhu) ko hukm diya, usne mujhe apne oont par piche sawar kar liya, mujhe achhi tarah yaad hai, main nau umar ladki thi, mujhe oongh aa jati to mera chehra palan ki pichli lakdi se takrata, hatta ke hum Tan'eem pahunch gaye, maine wahan se umre ka ehram bandha jo logon ke us umre ki jagah tha, jo unhone kiya tha.
حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الْغَيْلاَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ الْمَاجِشُونُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لاَ نَذْكُرُ إِلاَّ الْحَجَّ حَتَّى جِئْنَا سَرِفَ فَطَمِثْتُ فَدَخَلَ عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَنَا أَبْكِي فَقَالَ " مَا يُبْكِيكِ " . فَقُلْتُ وَاللَّهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي لَمْ أَكُنْ خَرَجْتُ الْعَامَ قَالَ " مَا لَكِ لَعَلَّكِ نَفِسْتِ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " هَذَا شَىْءٌ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ آدَمَ افْعَلِي مَا يَفْعَلُ الْحَاجُّ غَيْرَ أَنْ لاَ تَطُوفِي بِالْبَيْتِ حَتَّى تَطْهُرِي " . قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا قَدِمْتُ مَكَّةَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لأَصْحَابِهِ " اجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً " . فَأَحَلَّ النَّاسُ إِلاَّ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْىُ - قَالَتْ - فَكَانَ الْهَدْىُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَذَوِي الْيَسَارَةِ ثُمَّ أَهَلُّوا حِينَ رَاحُوا - قَالَتْ - فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ طَهَرْتُ فَأَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَفَضْتُ - قَالَتْ - فَأُتِينَا بِلَحْمِ بَقَرٍ . فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا فَقَالُوا أَهْدَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ نِسَائِهِ الْبَقَرَ . فَلَمَّا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةُ الْحَصْبَةِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَرْجِعُ النَّاسُ بِحَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ وَأَرْجِعُ بِحَجَّةٍ قَالَتْ فَأَمَرَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَأَرْدَفَنِي عَلَى جَمَلِهِ - قَالَتْ - فَإِنِّي لأَذْكُرُ وَأَنَا جَارِيَةٌ حَدِيثَةُ السِّنِّ أَنْعُسُ فَتُصِيبُ وَجْهِي مُؤْخِرَةُ الرَّحْلِ حَتَّى جِئْنَا إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ فَأَهْلَلْتُ مِنْهَا بِعُمْرَةٍ جَزَاءً بِعُمْرَةِ النَّاسِ الَّتِي اعْتَمَرُوا .
