Chapter: Shaving the head is preferrable to cutting the hair, although cutting the hair is permissible

باب تَفْضِيلِ الْحَلْقِ عَلَى التَّقْصِيرِ وَجَوَازِ التَّقْصِيرِ
Sahih Muslim 1301d
Ubaidullah reported this Hadith with the same chain of transmitters and (it is said) that it was on the fourth turn that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, (may Allah have mercy upon) those who got their hair clipped.’
عبیداللہ اسی سند سے بیان کرتے ہیں اور کہا حدیث میں ہے جب چوتھی بار پوچھا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اور بال کٹوانے والوں پر۔“
Ubaidullah isi sanad se bayan karte hain aur kaha Hadees mein hai jab chauthi baar poocha Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Aur baal katwane walon par."
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَالَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ فَلَمَّا كَانَتِ الرَّابِعَةُ قَالَ " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ " .
