Chapter: The Sunnah on the day of sacrifice is to stone the Jamrah, then offer the sacrifice, then shave the head, and shaving should be started on the right side of the head

باب بَيَانِ أَنَّ السُّنَّةَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ أَنْ يَرْمِيَ ثُمَّ يَنْحَرَ ثُمَّ يَحْلِقَ وَالاِبْتِدَاءِ فِي الْحَلْقِ بِالْجَانِبِ الأَيْمَنِ مِنْ رَأْسِ الْمَحْلُوقِ

Sahih Muslim 1305c
Anas bin Malik (رضئ هللا تعالی عنہ) reported that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) threw stones at Jamrat al-'Aqaba. He then went to his sacrificial animal and sacrificed it, and there was sitting the barber, and he pointed with his hand towards his head, and he shaved the right half of it, and he distributed them (the hair) among those who were near him. And he again said, shave the other half, and said, where is Abu Talha (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and gave it (the hair) to him.
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جمرہ عقبہ پر کنکریاں ماریں، پھر اونٹوں کی طرف پلٹ کر انہیں نحر کیا، اور حجام بیٹھا ہوا تھا اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے ہاتھ سے سر کی طرف اشارہ کیا، اس نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے دائیں طرف کے بال مونڈے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قریب بیٹھے ہوئے لوگوں میں تقسیم کر دئیے، پھر فرمایا: ”دوسری طرف مونڈوائی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا، ”ابو طلحہ کہاں ہے؟“ اور اس طرف کے بال اسے دے دئیے۔
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (Radiallahu Anhu) bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Jamrah Aqaba par kankariyan mareen, phir oonton ki taraf palat kar unhein nahr kiya, aur Hajjam baitha hua tha aur Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne apne haath se sar ki taraf ishara kiya, us ne Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke dayein taraf ke baal munde, Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne qareeb baithe hue logon mein taqseem kar diye, phir farmaya: "Doosri taraf mundwayi, Aap (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne poocha, "Abu Talha kahan hai?" Aur is taraf ke baal use de diye.
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ، بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى الْبُدْنِ فَنَحَرَهَا وَالْحَجَّامُ جَالِسٌ وَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ عَنْ رَأْسِهِ فَحَلَقَ شِقَّهُ الأَيْمَنَ فَقَسَمَهُ فِيمَنْ يَلِيهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " احْلِقِ الشِّقَّ الآخَرَ " . فَقَالَ " أَيْنَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ " . فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ .
