Sahih Muslim 1480b
Fatima bint Qais (رضي الله تعالى عنها) reported that her husband divorced her during the life time of Allah's Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and gave her a meagre maintenance allowance. When she saw that, she said, by Allah, I will inform Allah's Apostle ( صلى هللا عليهو آله وسلم), and if maintenance allowance is due to me then I will accept that which will suffice me, and if it is not due to me, I will not accept anything from him. She said, I made a mention of that to Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and he said, there is neither maintenance allowance for you nor lodging.
حضرت فاطمہ بنت قیس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ اس کے خاوند نے اسے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسم کے دور میں طلاق دے دی، اور اسے کم تر نفقہ دیا، تو جب اس نے یہ معاملہ دیکھا تو کہا، اللہ کی قسم! میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو بتاؤں گی، اگر میرے لیے نفقہ ہوا تو اپنی حیثیت کے مطابق لوں گی اور اگر میرے لیے نفقہ نہ ہوا، تو کچھ نہ لوں گی، تو میں نے اس کا تذکرہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تیرے لیے نفقہ اور مسکن دونوں ہی نہیں ہیں۔“
Hazrat Fatimah bint Qays (Razi Allahu Anha) se riwayat hai ke us ke khaawind ne use Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke daur mein talaq de di, aur use kam tar nafaqah diya, to jab us ne yeh ma'amla dekha to kaha, Allah ki qasam! Main Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ko bataoon gi, agar mere liye nafaqah hua to apni haisiyat ke mutabiq loon gi aur agar mere liye nafaqah na hua, to kuch na loon gi, to main ne us ka tazkirah Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) se kiya, aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Tere liye nafaqah aur maskan donon hi nahi hain."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي حَازِمٍ وَقَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ أَيْضًا حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقَارِيَّ - كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي، سَلَمَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ، أَنَّهُ طَلَّقَهَا زَوْجُهَا فِي عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَكَانَ أَنْفَقَ عَلَيْهَا نَفَقَةَ دُونٍ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ وَاللَّهِ لأُعْلِمَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَإِذَا كَانَ لِي نَفَقَةٌ أَخَذْتُ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُنِي وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ لِي نَفَقَةٌ لَمْ آخُذْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا قَالَتْ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " لاَ نَفَقَةَ لَكِ وَلاَ سُكْنَى " .
