Chapter: Being kind to one for whose faith there is concern because it is weak; Prohibition of attributing Faith to someone without definitive evidence

باب تَأَلُّفِ قَلْبِ مَنْ يَخَافُ عَلَى إِيمَانِهِ لِضَعْفِهِ وَالنَّهْيِ عَنِ الْقَطْعِ بِالإِيمَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِ دَلِيلٍ قَاطِعٍ
Sahih Muslim 150d
The same Hadith has been narrated on the authority of Muhammad bin Sa'd ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) and these words (are also there) : The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) gave a stroke on my neck or between my two shoulders and said : Sa'd (رضي الله تعالى عنه) do you fight with me simply because I gave (a share) to a man?
محمد بن سعدؒ نے اپنی حدیث میں یہ الفاظ کہے: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میری گردن اور کندھے کے درمیان اپنا ہاتھ مارا، پھر فرمایا: ”اے سعد! کیا لڑائی کرو گے؟ میں ایک آدمی کو دیتا ہوں۔“
Muhammad bin Sa'ad ne apni hadees mein yeh alfaz kahe: Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne meri gardan aur kandhe ke darmiyan apna hath mara, phir farmaya: "Ae Sa'ad! kya larai karoge? main ek aadmi ko deta hoon."
وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، يُحَدِّثُ هَذَا فَقَالَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَضَرَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِيَدِهِ بَيْنَ عُنُقِي وَكَتِفِي ثُمَّ قَالَ " أَقِتَالاً أَىْ سَعْدُ إِنِّي لأُعْطِي الرَّجُلَ " .
