Chapter: Picking up property lost by a pilgrim

Shu'ba reported that Salama bin Kuhail informed me or he informed people and I was among them. He said, he heard Sawaid bin Ghafala who reported: I went out along with Zaid bin Suhan and Salman bin Rabi'a, and found a whip, the rest of the Hadith is the same up to the words, ‘I made use of that.’ Shu'ba said, he heard him say after ten years, that he made an announcement of it for one year.
حضرت سوید بن غفلہ نے، لوگوں کو بتایا ان میں سلمہ بن کہیل بھی تھے کہ میں زید بن صوحان اور سلمان بن ربیعہ کے ساتھ نکلا تو مجھے کوڑا ملا اور مذکورہ بالا حدیث فاستملتعت بها، میں نے اس سے فائدہ اٹھایا تک بیان کی، شعبہ کہتے ہیں میں نے استاد کو دس سال بعد کہتے ہوئے سنا، اس کی ایک سال تک تشہیر کر۔
Hazrat Suwaid bin Ghaflah ne logon ko bataya jin mein Salama bin Kuhail bhi thay ke main Zayed bin Souhan aur Salman bin Rabee'ah ke sath nikla to mujhe kora mila aur mazkurah bala hadith 'Fastamta'tu biha' (main ne is se faida uthaya) tak bayan ki. Shu'ba kehte hain main ne ustad ko das saal baad kehte hue suna: 'Is ki ek saal tak tasheer kar.'
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَلَمَةُ، بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ أَوْ أَخْبَرَ الْقَوْمَ، وَأَنَا فِيهِمْ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُوَيْدَ بْنَ غَفَلَةَ، قَالَ خَرَجْتُ مَعَ زَيْدِ بْنِ صُوحَانَ وَسَلْمَانَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ فَوَجَدْتُ سَوْطًا . وَاقْتَصَّ الْحَدِيثَ بِمِثْلِهِ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُ بِهَا . قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَسَمِعْتُهُ بَعْدَ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ يَقُولُ عَرَّفَهَا عَامًا وَاحِدًا .
