Chapter: The words of the Prophet (saws): "We (Prophets) have no heirs and whatever we leave behind is charity."

باب قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَا فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ "
Sahih Muslim 1759b
Ummul Momineen A'isha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that (Sayyida) Fatima (رضي الله تعالى عنها) and Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) approached Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه), soliciting transfer of the land of Fadak of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to them. At that time, they were demanding his lands at Fadak and his share from Khaibar. Abu Bakr said to them, I have heard from the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). Then he quoted the Hadith having nearly the same meaning as the one which has been narrated by Uqail on the authority of al-Zuhri (and which his gone before) except that in his version he said, ‘then 'Ali stood up, extolled the merits of Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) mentioned his superiority, and his earlier acceptance of Islam. Then he walked to Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and swore allegiance to him. (At this) people turned towards 'Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and said, you have done the right thing. And they became favorably inclined to Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) after he had adopted the proper course of action.
امام صاحب اپنے تین اور اساتذہ سے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہا کی روایت بیان کرتے ہیں کہ حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہا اور حضرت عباس رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ، حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ کے پاس، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ترکہ سے اپنا حصہ کا مطالبہ کرنے کے لیے آئے، وہ دونوں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی فدک کی زمین اور خیبر کا حصہ کا مطالبہ کر رہے تھے تو ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ نے دونوں سے کہا، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ہے، آگے مذکورہ بالا حدیث ہے، ہاں اتنا فرق ہے کہ معمر کہتے ہیں، پھر حضرت علی رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ کھڑے ہوئے اور حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ کے عظیم حق کو بیان کیا، ان کی فضیلت کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور کہنے لگے، آپ نے درست کیا اور آپ نے اچھا کام کیا اور جب حضرت علی رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ معروف بات کے قریب ہوئے تو لوگ ان کے قریب آ گئے۔
Imam sahib apne teen aur asatizah se Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha) ki riwayat bayan karte hain ke Hazrat Fatima (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha) aur Hazrat Abbas (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu), Hazrat Abu Bakr (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) ke paas, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke tarka se apna hissa ka mutalba karne ke liye aaye, woh donon aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki Fadak ki zameen aur Khaibar ka hissa ka mutalba kar rahe thay toh Abu Bakr (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) ne donon se kaha, mein ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se suna hai, aage mazkurah bala hadees hai, haan itna farq hai ke Ma'mar kehte hain, phir Hazrat Ali (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) kharay hue aur Hazrat Abu Bakr (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) ke azeem haq ko bayan kiya, un ki fazeelat ki taraf mutawajjah hue aur kehne lage, aap ne durust kiya aur aap ne accha kaam kiya aur jab Hazrat Ali (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) maroof baat ke qareeb hue toh log un ke qareeb aa gaye.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ ابْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّصلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُمَا حِينَئِذٍ يَطْلُبَانِ أَرْضَهُ مِنْ فَدَكٍ وَسَهْمَهُ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ . فَقَالَ لَهُمَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمِثْلِ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ عُقَيْلٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَامَ عَلِيٌّ فَعَظَّمَ مِنْ حَقِّ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَذَكَرَ فَضِيلَتَهُ وَسَابِقَتَهُ ثُمَّ مَضَى إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَبَايَعَهُ فَأَقْبَلَ النَّاسُ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ فَقَالُوا أَصَبْتَ وَأَحْسَنْتَ . فَكَانَ النَّاسُ قَرِيبًا إِلَى عَلِيٍّ حِينَ قَارَبَ الأَمْرَ الْمَعْرُوفَ .
