باب جَوَازِ قِتَالِ مَنْ نَقَضَ الْعَهْدَ وَجَوَازِ إِنْزَالِ أَهْلِ الْحِصْنِ عَلَى حُكْمِ حَاكِمٍ عَدْلٍ أَهْلٍ لِلْحُكْمِ
Sahih Muslim 1769d
This tradition has also been narrated by Hisham through the same chain of transmitters with a little difference in the wording. He said, ‘(his wound) began to bleed that very night and it continued to bleed until he died. He has made the addition that it was then that (a non-believing) poet said (the following couplets). Hark, O Sa'd, Sa'd of Banu Mu'âdh - The Book of Jilzâd and Expeditions What have Quraizah and Nadir done? - Indeed, Sa'd bin Mu'âd was steadfast on the morning they departed. They were well settled in their country, Just as rocks are well settled in Maytân (a hilly tract near Al-Madinah)
امام صاحب اپنے ایک اور استاد سے مذکورہ بالا روایت بیان کرتے ہیں، جس میں یہ اضافہ ہے، اس رات زخم بہنے لگا اور وہ مسلسل بہتا رہا حتی کہ وہ وفات پا گئے اور اس وقت ایک کافر شاعر (جبل بن جوال ثعلبی) نے یہ شعر کہے:اے سعد! سعد بن معاز سنو، قریظہ اور نضیر نے کیا کیا، تمہاری زندگی کی قسم! سعد بن معاذ جس صبح ان لوگوں نے مصائب برداشت کیے، وہ بہت صابر تھے، تم نے اپنی ہانڈی خالی چھوڑ دی جبکہ قوم خزرج کی ہانڈی گرم ہے اور جوش مار رہی ہے، معزز شخص ابو حباب نے کہا تھا، بنو قینقاع ٹھہرے رہو، مت جاؤ، حالانکہ بنو قریظہ اپنے علاقہ میں جمے ہوئے تھے، جس طرح میطان پہاڑ کے پتھر بھاری ہیں۔

Sa'd bin Mu'adh suno, Quraizah aur Nadeer ne kya kiya, tumhari zindagi ki qasam! Sa'd bin Mu'adh jis subah un logon ne masa'ib bardasht kiye, woh bahut sabir the. Tum ne apni haandi khali chhod di jabke qaum Khazraj ki haandi garam hai aur josh mar rahi hai. Mo'azziz shakhs Abu Habab ne kaha tha, Banu Qainuqa' thehre raho, mat jao, halanke Banu Quraizah apne ilaqah mein jame hue the, jis tarah Maitaan pahad ke patthar bhari hain.
وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَانْفَجَرَ مِنْ لَيْلَتِهِ فَمَازَالَ يَسِيلُ حَتَّى مَاتَ وَزَادَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ فَذَاكَ حِينَ يَقُولُ الشَّاعِرُ أَلاَ يَا سَعْدُ سَعْدَ بَنِي مُعَاذٍ فَمَا فَعَلَتْ قُرَيْظَةُ وَالنَّضِيرُ لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّ سَعْدَ بَنِي مُعَاذٍ غَدَاةَ تَحَمَّلُوا لَهُوَ الصَّبُورُ تَرَكْتُمْ قِدْرَكُمْ لاَ شَىْءَ فِيهَا وَقِدْرُ الْقَوْمِ حَامِيَةٌ تَفُورُ وَقَدْ قَالَ الْكَرِيمُ أَبُو حُبَابٍ أَقِيمُوا قَيْنُقَاعُ وَلاَ تَسِيرُوا وَقَدْ كَانُوا بِبَلْدَتِهِمْ ثِقَالاً كَمَا ثَقُلَتْ بِمَيْطَانَ الصُّخُورُ
