Chapter: The Battle of Hunain

باب فِي غَزْوَةِ حُنَيْنٍ
Sahih Muslim 1775b
This Hadith is transmitted through another chain of narrators. In this version the words of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) (after he had thrown the pebbles in the face of the enemy) are reported as, ‘by the Lord of the Ka'ba, they have been defeated.’ And there is at the end the addition of the words, until Allah defeated them’ (and I imagine) as if I saw the Prophet of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) chasing them on his mule.
یہی روایت امام اپنے تین اور اساتذہ سے، زہری کی مذکورہ بالا سند سے بیان کرتے ہیں، اس میں تھوڑا سا لفظی فرق ہے کہ اس میں خچر کا تحفہ دینے والے کا نام فروہ بن نعامہ جذامی رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ ہے اور تهزموا ورب محمد
Yahi riwayat Imam apne teen aur asatiza se, Zuhri ki mazkoora bala sanad se bayan karte hain, is mein thoda sa lafzi farq hai ke is mein khachar ka tohfa dene wale ka naam Farwah bin Na'amah Jazami (Razi Allahu Anhu) hai aur tuhzimu wa Rabb e Muhammad.
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ عَبْدِ، الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ . نَحْوَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَرْوَةُ بْنُ نُعَامَةَ الْجُذَامِيُّ . وَقَالَ " انْهَزَمُوا وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ انْهَزَمُوا وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ " . وَزَادَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ حَتَّى هَزَمَهُمُ اللَّهُ قَالَ وَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَرْكُضُ خَلْفَهُمْ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ .
