Sahih Muslim 1776b
There is a similar Hadith with a different chain of transmitters, narrated by Abu Ishaq, who said, ‘a person said to Bara' bin 'Azib (رضي الله تعالى عنه), saying, O Abu Umara (رضي الله تعالى عنه), did you flee on the Day of Hunain? He replied, the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) did not retreat. What happened was that some hasty young men who were either inadequately armed or were unarmed met a group of men from Banu Hawazin and Banu Nadir who happened to be (excellent) archers. The latter shot at them a volley of arrows that did not miss. The people turned to the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). Abu Sufyan bin Harith was leading his mule. So, he got down, prayed, and invoked God's help. He said, I am the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). This is no untruth. I am the son of Abdul Muttalib (رضي الله تعالى عنه). O God descend Your help. Bara' (رضي الله تعالى عنه) continued when the battle grew fierce. we, by God. would seek protection by his side, and the bravest among us was he who confronted the onslaught and it was the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم).
ابو اسحاق سے روایت ہے کہ ایک آدمی حضرت براء رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ کے پاس آ کر کہنے لگا، کیا تم حنین کے دن بھاگ گئے تھے؟ اے ابو عمارۃ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ تو انہوں نے جواب دیا، میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بارے میں گواہی دیتا ہوں، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پیٹھ نہیں دکھائی، لیکن کچھ جلد باز لوگ، غیر مسلح اس ہوازن قبیلہ کی طرف چلے اور وہ تیر انداز لوگ تھے تو انہوں نے ان پر تیروں کی باڑھ اس طرح ماری گویا وہ ٹڈی دل ہے تو یہ لوگ سامنے سے ہٹ گئے اور یہ لوگ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف آ گئے اور ابو سفیان بن حارث رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ آپ کے خچر آگے سے پکڑے ہوئے تھا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اترے، دعا کی، مدد چاہی اور فرمانے لگے: ”میں نبی ہوں، میں عبدالمطلب کا بیٹا ہوں، اے اللہ! اپنی مدد اتار۔“
Abu Ishaq se riwayat hai ke ek aadmi Hazrat Baraa (Razi Allahu Anhu) ke paas aa kar kehne laga, kya tum Hunain ke din bhag gaye the? Aye Abu Amarah (Razi Allahu Anhu) to unhon ne jawab diya, main Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke bare mein gawahi deta hoon, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne peeth nahi dikhai, lekin kuch jald baaz log, ghair musallah is Hawazin qabile ki taraf chale aur woh teer andaaz log the to unhon ne un par teeron ki baarh is tarah mari goya woh tiddi dal hai to yeh log samne se hat gaye aur yeh log Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki taraf aa gaye aur Abu Sufyan bin Harith (Razi Allahu Anhu) Aap ke khachar aage se pakde hue tha, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) utre, dua ki, madad chahi aur farmane lage: "Main Nabi hoon, main Abdul Muttalib ka beta hoon, Aye Allah! Apni madad utaar."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَنَابٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّاءَ، عَنْ أَبِي، إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى الْبَرَاءِ فَقَالَ أَكُنْتُمْ وَلَّيْتُمْ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ يَا أَبَا عُمَارَةَ فَقَالَ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا وَلَّى وَلَكِنَّهُ انْطَلَقَ أَخِفَّاءُ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَحُسَّرٌ إِلَى هَذَا الْحَىِّ مِنْ هَوَازِنَ وَهُمْ قَوْمٌ رُمَاةٌ فَرَمَوْهُمْ بِرِشْقٍ مِنْ نَبْلٍ كَأَنَّهَا رِجْلٌ مِنْ جَرَادٍ فَانْكَشَفُوا فَأَقْبَلَ الْقَوْمُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ يَقُودُ بِهِ بَغْلَتَهُ فَنَزَلَ وَدَعَا وَاسْتَنْصَرَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ " أَنَا النَّبِيُّ لاَ كَذِبْ أَنَا ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبْ اللَّهُمَّ نَزِّلْ نَصْرَكَ " . قَالَ الْبَرَاءُ كُنَّا وَاللَّهِ إِذَا احْمَرَّ الْبَأْسُ نَتَّقِي بِهِ وَإِنَّ الشُّجَاعَ مِنَّا لَلَّذِي يُحَاذِي بِهِ . يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
