Sahih Muslim 1830
Hasan narrated that Aidh bin Amr (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) who was one of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) called on Ubaidullah bin Ziyad and said (to him), O my son, I have heard the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) say, the worst of guardians is the cruel ruler. Beware of being one of them. Ubaidullah said (to him out of arrogance), sit you down. You are from the chaff of the Companions of Muhammad (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم). A'idh (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) said, was there worthless chaff among them? Such worthless chaff appeared after them and among other people.
حضرت حسن بصری بیان کرتے ہیں کہ حضرت عائذ بن عمرہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ جو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھیوں میں سے ہیں، عبیداللہ بن زیاد کے پاس گئے اور کہا، اے بیٹے! میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے سنا ہے، ”بدترین، ذلیل (نگران) سخت گیر ہے تو ان میں سے ہونے سے بچاؤ کر۔“ تو اس نے جواب دیا، بیٹھئے، تو تو بس محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھیوں کا چھان بورا ہے، تو حضرت عائذ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ نے کہا، کیا ان میں چھان بورا بھی تھا؟ چھان بورا تو ان کے بعد اور دوسروں میں پیدا ہوا۔
Hazrat Hassan Basri bayan karte hain ke Hazrat A'iz bin Amrah (Razi Allahu Anhu) jo Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke saathiyon mein se hain, Ubaidullah bin Ziyad ke paas gaye aur kaha, Aye bete! Maine Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko yeh farmate suna hai, "Badtareen, zaleel (nigehbaan) sakht geer hai to un mein se hone se bachao kar." To usne jawab diya, baithiye, to tu to bas Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke saathiyon ka chhaan boora hai, to Hazrat A'iz (Razi Allahu Anhu) ne kaha, kya un mein chhaan boora bhi tha? Chhaan boora to unke baad aur doosron mein paida hua.
حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ، أَنَّ عَائِذَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، - وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم - دَخَلَ عَلَى عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ فَقَالَ أَىْ بُنَىَّ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِنَّ شَرَّ الرِّعَاءِ الْحُطَمَةُ فَإِيَّاكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنْهُمْ " . فَقَالَ لَهُ اجْلِسْ فَإِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنْ نُخَالَةِ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم . فَقَالَ وَهَلْ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ نُخَالَةٌ إِنَّمَا كَانَتِ النُّخَالَةُ بَعْدَهُمْ وَفِي غَيْرِهِمْ .
