Taubat Al-Anbari reported, Ash-Sha'bi (one of the narrators) asked me if I had heard the Hadith transmitted on the authority of Hasan from the Prophet (صلى ِہللا عليه و آله وسلم). He said, I sat in the company if Ibn Umar (ِرضي الله تعالى عنه) for two years or a year and a half, but I did not hear narrated from Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) but this one (pertaining to the flesh of the lizard) as narrated by Mu'adh (رضي الله تعالى عنه).
توبہ عنبری کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے شعبی نے کہا، کیا آپ حسن کی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی روایات سے آگاہ ہیں، حالانکہ میں ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہما کے ساتھ دو سال یا ڈیڑھ سال بیٹھا ہوں، اتنے عرصہ میں، میں نے ان سے صرف یہ حدیث سنی ہے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے کچھ ساتھی تھے، ان میں حضرت سعد بھی تھے، آگے مذکورہ بالا حدیث ہے۔
Tawbah Ambari kehte hain ke mujhe Sha'bi ne kaha, kya Aap Hasan ki Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki riwayat se aagah hain, halanke main Ibn Umar (Raziallahu Anhuma) ke saath do saal ya dedh saal baitha hoon, itne arse mein, main ne un se sirf yeh Hadees suni hai, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke kuch sathi the, un mein Hazrat Sa'd bhi the, aage mazkoora bala Hadees hai.
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ تَوْبَةَ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ لِي الشَّعْبِيُّ أَرَأَيْتَ حَدِيثَ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَاعَدْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَرِيبًا مِنْ سَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ سَنَةٍ وَنِصْفٍ فَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ رَوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم غَيْرَ هَذَا قَالَ كَانَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِيهِمْ سَعْدٌ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ مُعَاذٍ .
