Chapter: It is recommended to select a good animal for the sacrifice and to slaughter it oneself, not delegating it to anyone else, and to say the name of Allah, and to say the Takbir

باب اسْتِحْبَابِ الضَّحِيَّةِ وَذَبْحِهَا مُبَاشَرَةً بِلاَ تَوْكِيلٍ وَالتَّسْمِيَةِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ
Sahih Muslim 1966c
Shu'ba reported that Qatada informed me that he had heard Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) saying that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sacrificed (the horned rams) and like that. I said, did you (Qatada) hear from Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه)? He said, yes.
امام صاحب ایک اور استاد سے مذکورہ بالا روایت بیان کرتے ہیں، شعبہ کہتے ہیں، میں نے قتادہ سے پوچھا، کیا تو نے یہ روایت براہ راست حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنی ہے؟ اس نے کہا، ہاں۔
Saabit bayan karte hain, main ne Hazrat Ibn Umar (Raziallahu Anhuma) se poocha, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne ghadde ke Nabiz se mana farmaya hai? Unhon ne kaha, logon ka khayal yehi hai, main ne poocha, kya us se Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mana farmaya hai, unhon ne kaha, logon ka yehi khayal hai.
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ - حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي قَتَادَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا، يَقُولُ ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . بِمِثْلِهِ . قَالَ قُلْتُ آنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ نَعَمْ .
