Chapter: It is permissible to take someone else to the house of one who you are certain will approve of that and will not mind. It is recommended to gather to eat

باب جَوَازِ اسْتِتْبَاعِهِ غَيْرَهُ إِلَى دَارِ مَنْ يَثِقُ بِرِضَاهُ بِذَلِكَ وَيَتَحَقَّقُهُ تَحَقُّقًا تَامًّا وَاسْتِحْبَابِ الاِجْتِمَاعِ عَلَى الطَّعَامِ
Sahih Muslim 2040b
Anas bin Malik (رضئ ِهللا تعالی عنہ) reported, Abu Talha (رضي الله تعالى عنه) sent me to Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) in order to invite him (for meal). She had prepared a meal. So, I came and found Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) along with some people. He looked at me, and I felt shy and said, accept the invitation of Abu Talha (رضي الله تعالى عنه). He (the Prophet ﷺ) asked the people to get up. Thereupon Abu Talha (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, Allah's Apostle (صلى هللا ِعليه و ِآله وسلم), I have prepared something for you. Allah's Apostle (صلى ِهللا عليه و آله وسلم) touched (the food) and invoked blessings upon it, and then said, let ten persons from my Companions enter (the house). He then said, eat, and (in the meanwhile) brought out something from between his fingers for them. They then began to eat until they had their fill and then went out. He then asked ten more men (to have the meal) and they ate to their fill, and the ten persons went on getting in (and eating the food) and then getting out until none was left amongst them who had not got in and eaten to his fill. He then collected (the remaining part of the food) and it (the quantity of the food) was the same (as it had been prior to the serving of guests).
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، مجھے حضرت ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف، آپ کو اس کھانے کے لیے بلانے کے لیے بھیجا، جو انہوں نے تیار کیا تھا، میں آیا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ لوگ تھے، آپ نے مجھے دیکھا تو میں شرما گیا اور میں نے کہا، آپ کو ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ دعوت کے لیے بلاتے ہیں، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوگوں سے فرمایا: ”اٹھو“ ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عرض کیا، اے اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! میں نے تو بس آپ کے لیے کچھ تیار کیا تھا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کو چھوا اور اس میں برکت کی دعا فرمائی، پھر فرمایا: ”میرے ساتھیوں میں سے دس افراد کو داخل کر دو“ اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں فرمایا: ”کھاؤ۔“ اور ان کے لیے اپنی انگلیوں میں سے کوئی چیز نکالی، انہوں نے کھایا، حتی کہ سیر ہو کر نکل گئے، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے (ابوطلحہ سے) فرمایا: ”دس کو داخل کرو۔“ انہوں نے سیر ہو کر کھایا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم انہیں دس دس داخل اور خارج کرتے رہے، حتی کہ کوئی نہ رہ گیا جو داخل نہ ہوا ہو، پھر آپ نے سیر ہو کر کھایا، پھر آپ نے کھانا ایک جگہ کیا تو وہ اتنا ہی تھا، جتنا انہوں نے کھانا شروع کیا تھا۔
Hazrat Anas (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) bayan karte hain, mujhe Hazrat Abu Talha (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ki taraf, aap ko us khane ke liye bulane ke liye bheja, jo unhone tayyar kiya tha, main aaya to Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke saath log the, aap ne mujhe dekha to main sharma gaya aur main ne kaha, aap ko Abu Talha (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) dawat ke liye bulate hain, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne logon se farmaya: "Utho" Abu Talha (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) ne arz kiya, aye Allah ke Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)! Main ne to bas aap ke liye kuchh tayyar kiya tha to Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne us ko chhua aur us mein barkat ki dua farmai, phir farmaya: "Mere saathiyon mein se das afraad ko dakhil kar do" aur Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne unhein farmaya: "Khao." Aur un ke liye apni ungliyon mein se koi cheez nikali, unhone khaya, hatta ke sair ho kar nikal gaye, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne (Abu Talha se) farmaya: "Das ko dakhil karo." Unhone sair ho kar khaya, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) unhein das das dakhil aur kharij karte rahe, hatta ke koi na rah gaya jo dakhil na hua ho, phir aap ne sair ho kar khaya, phir aap ne khana ek jagah kiya to woh itna hi tha, jitna unhone khana shuru kiya tha.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ بَعَثَنِي أَبُو طَلْحَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لأَدْعُوَهُ وَقَدْ جَعَلَ طَعَامًا - قَالَ - فَأَقْبَلْتُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَعَ النَّاسِ فَنَظَرَ إِلَىَّ فَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ فَقُلْتُ أَجِبْ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ . فَقَالَ لِلنَّاسِ " قُومُوا " . فَقَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا صَنَعْتُ لَكَ شَيْئًا - قَالَ - فَمَسَّهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَدَعَا فِيهَا بِالْبَرَكَةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " أَدْخِلْ نَفَرًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِي عَشَرَةً " . وَقَالَ " كُلُوا " . وَأَخْرَجَ لَهُمْ شَيْئًا مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصَابِعِهِ فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا فَخَرَجُوا فَقَالَ " أَدْخِلْ عَشَرَةً " . فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا . فَمَا زَالَ يُدْخِلُ عَشَرَةً وَيُخْرِجُ عَشَرَةً حَتَّى لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ دَخَلَ فَأَكَلَ حَتَّى شَبِعَ ثُمَّ هَيَّأَهَا فَإِذَا هِيَ مِثْلُهَا حِينَ أَكَلُوا مِنْهَا .
