Chapter: The prohibition of eating two dates etc., at a time when eating with a group, except with the permission of one's companions

باب نَهْيِ الآكِلِ مَعَ جَمَاعَةٍ عَنْ قِرَانِ تَمْرَتَيْنِ وَنَحْوِهِمَا فِي لُقْمَةٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ أَصْحَابِهِ
Sahih Muslim 2045b
This Hadith has been reported on the authority of Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters but these words of his (are not found), ‘the people were hard pressed because of the famine during those days.’
امام صاحب اپنے دو اور اساتذہ سے شعبہ ہی کی سند سے یہ روایت بیان کرتے ہیں، لیکن اس میں شعبہ کا قول موجود نہیں ہے اور نہ یہ بات ہے کہ ”لوگ ان دنوں قحط سالی کا شکار تھے، یا مشقت میں مبتلا تھے۔“
Imam Sahib apne do aur asatiza se Shu'bah hi ki sanad se yeh riwayat bayan karte hain, lekin us mein Shu'bah ka qaul maujood nahin hai aur na yeh baat hai ke "Log un dinon qahet saali ka shikar the, ya mashaqqat mein mubtala the."
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ، الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَلَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِهِمَا قَوْلُ شُعْبَةَ وَلاَ قَوْلُهُ وَقَدْ كَانَ أَصَابَ النَّاسَ يَوْمَئِذٍ جَهْدٌ .
