Sahih Muslim 222a
Abu Sa'id (رضئ هللا تعالی عنہ) reported : The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: Allah, the High and Glorious, would say : O Adam (عليه السالم) I and he would say : At Thy service, at thy beck and call, O Lord, and the good is in Thy Hand. Allah (جَلَّ ذُو) would say: Bring forth the group of (the denizens of) Fire. He (Adam) would say: Who are the denizens of Hell? It would be said: They are out of every thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine. He (the Prophet ﷺ) said : It is at this juncture that every child would become white-haired and every pregnant woman would abort and you would see people in a state of intoxication, and they would not be in fact intoxicated but grievous will be the torment of Allah. He (the narrator) said: This had a very depressing effect upon them (upon the companions of the Prophet ﷺ) and they said: Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), who among us would be (that unfortunate) person (who would be doomed to Hell)? He said : Good tidings for you, (the followers of) Yajuj Majuj would be those thousands (who would be the denizens of Hell) and a person (selected for Paradise) would be among you. He (the narrator) further reported that he (the Apostle of Allah ﷺ) again said: By Him in Whose Hand is thy life, I hope that you would constitute one-fourth of the inhabitants of Paradise. We extolled Allah and we glorified (Him). He (the Prophet ﷺ) again said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, I wish you would constitute one-third of the inhabitants of Paradise. We extolled Allah and Glorified (Him). He (the Prophet ﷺ) again said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, I hope that you would constitute half of the inhabitants of Paradise. Your likeness among the people is the likeness of a white hair on the skin of a black ox or a strip on the foreleg of an ass.
حضرت ابو سعید ؓسے روایت ہے، کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ عزو جل فرمائے گا: اے آدم! وہ عرض کریں گے: میں تیری اطاعت کی سعادت کے حصول کے لیے بار بار حاضر ہوں! ہر قسم کی خیر تیرے ہاتھوں میں ہے۔ اللہ فرمائے گا: آگ کی جماعت نکالیے! آدم ؑ عرض کریں گے: دوزخیوں کی جماعت سے کیا مراد ہے؟ (ان کی تعداد کتنی ہے) اللہ فرمائے گا: ہر ہزار سے نو سو ننانوے۔ یہ وہ وقت ہو گا، جب بچے (خوف سے) بوڑھے ہو جائیں گے اور ہر حاملہ کا حمل وضع ہو جائے گا اور تم تمام لوگوں کو مدہوش دیکھو گے، حالانکہ وہ مدہوش (نشہ میں) نہیں ہوں گے، لیکن اللہ کا عذاب بہت سخت ہے۔“ تو یہ بات صحابہ کرام ؓ کے لیے انتہائی ناگوار گزری۔ انھوں نے پوچھا: اے اللہ کے رسولؐ! وہ ایک آدمی ہم میں سے کون ہو گا؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”خوش ہو جاؤ! یاجوج ماجوج میں سے ایک ہزار اور تم میں سے ایک آدمی ہو گا۔“ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اس ذات کی قسم! جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، میری خواہش ہے، کہ تم اہلِ جنت کا چوتھائی ہو گے۔“ ہم نے اللہ تعالیٰ کا شکر ادا کیا اور تکبیر کہی۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اس ذات کی قسم! جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے! میری خواہش ہے، کہ تم اہلِ جنت کا تہائی ہو۔“ تو ہم نے اللہ کی حمد بیان کی اور تکبیر کہی (اس کی کبریائی کا اعتراف کیا) پھر آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس ذات کی قسم! جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، مجھے امید ہے کہ تم اہلِ جنت کا آدھا حصہ ہو گے۔ امتوں کے مقابلہ میں تمھاری تمثیل اس سفید بال کی ہے جو سیاہ بیل کی کھال میں ہوتا ہے، یا اس نشان کی ہے جو گدھے کے پاؤں (پنڈلی کے اوپر والا حصہ) میں ہوتا ہے۔“
Hazrat Abu Saeed (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Allah Azza-wa-Jall farmaye ga: Ae Adam! Wo arz karenge: Main teri ita'at ki sa'adat ke husool ke liye baar baar hazir hoon! Har qism ki khair tere hathon mein hai. Allah farmaye ga: Aag ki jama'at nikaliye! Adam (Alaihis Salam) arz karenge: Dozakhiyon ki jama'at se kya murad hai? (Un ki tadaad kitni hai) Allah farmaye ga: Har hazar se nau sau ninnanway. Ye wo waqt ho ga, jab bachay (khauf se) boorhay ho jayenge aur har hamila ka hamal waza ho jaye ga aur tum tamam logon ko madhosh dekho ge, halankay wo madhosh (nashe mein) nahin honge, lekin Allah ka azab bahut sakht hai." To ye baat Sahaba Kiram (Radi Allahu Anhum) ke liye intahayi nagawar guzri. Unhon ne poocha: Ae Allah ke Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)! Wo ek aadmi hum mein se kaun ho ga? To Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Khush ho jao! Yajuj Majuj mein se ek hazar aur tum mein se ek aadmi ho ga." Phir Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Is zaat ki qasam! Jis ke hath mein meri jaan hai, meri khwahish hai, ke tum Ahl-e-Jannat ka chouthayi ho ge." Hum ne Allah Ta'ala ka shukr ada kiya aur takbeer kahi. Phir Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Is zaat ki qasam! Jis ke hath mein meri jaan hai! Meri khwahish hai, ke tum Ahl-e-Jannat ka tihayi ho." To hum ne Allah ki hamd bayan ki aur takbeer kahi (is ki kibriyayi ka aetiraf kiya) phir Aap ne farmaya: "Is zaat ki qasam! Jis ke hath mein meri jaan hai, mujhe umeed hai ke tum Ahl-e-Jannat ka aadha hissa ho ge. Ummaton ke muqable mein tumhari tamseel is safaid baal ki hai jo siyah bail ki khaal mein hota hai, ya is nishan ki hai jo gadhe ke paon (pindli ke oopar wala hissa) mein hota hai."
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ الْعَبْسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَا آدَمُ فَيَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْكَ - قَالَ - يَقُولُ أَخْرِجْ بَعْثَ النَّارِ . قَالَ وَمَا بَعْثُ النَّارِ قَالَ مِنْ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ تِسْعَمِائَةٍ وَتِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ . قَالَ فَذَاكَ حِينَ يَشِيبُ الصَّغِيرُ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَى النَّاسَ سُكَارَى وَمَا هُمْ بِسُكَارَى وَلَكِنَّ عَذَابَ اللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ " . قَالَ فَاشْتَدَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ . قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّنَا ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ " أَبْشِرُوا فَإِنَّ مِنْ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ أَلْفًا وَمِنْكُمْ رَجُلٌ " . قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لأَطْمَعُ أَنْ تَكُونُوا رُبُعَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " . فَحَمِدْنَا اللَّهَ وَكَبَّرْنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لأَطْمَعُ أَنْ تَكُونُوا ثُلُثَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " . فَحَمِدْنَا اللَّهَ وَكَبَّرْنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لأَطْمَعُ أَنْ تَكُونُوا شَطْرَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِنَّ مَثَلَكُمْ فِي الأُمَمِ كَمَثَلِ الشَّعْرَةِ الْبَيْضَاءِ فِي جِلْدِ الثَّوْرِ الأَسْوَدِ أَوْ كَالرَّقْمَةِ فِي ذِرَاعِ الْحِمَارِ " .
