Sahih Muslim 2779c
Abu Tufail reported that there was a dispute between Hudhaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and one from the people of Aqaba as it happens amongst people. He said, I adjure you by Allah to tell me as to how many people from Aqaba were. The people said to him (Hudhaifa - رضي الله تعالى عنه) to inform him as he had asked. We have been informed that they were fourteen and if you are to be counted amongst them, then they would be fifteen and I state by Allah that twelve amongst them were the enemies of Allah and of His Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) in this world. The rest of the three put forward this excuse, we did not hear the announcement of Allah's Apostle ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and we were not aware of the intention of the people as the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had been in the hot atmosphere. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) then said, the water is small in quantity (at the next station). So, nobody should go ahead of me, but he found people who had gone ahead of him and he cursed them on that day.
حضرت ابو طفیل رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جنگ تبوک کی گھاٹی والوں میں سے ایک کا حضرت خذیفہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے جھگڑا ہوا جیسا کہ لوگوں میں ہوہی جاتا ہےتو اس نے کہا، میں تمھیں اللہ کی قسم دے کر پوچھتا ہوں، اہل عقبہ کتنے اشخاص تھے؟ تو لوگوں نے حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے کہا جب یہ آپ سے پوچھ رہا ہے تو آپ اسے بتادیں حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا ہمیں بتایا جاتا تھا وہ چودہ تھے،اگر تو بھی ان کے ساتھ تھا تو وہ لوگ پندرہ ہو گئے اور میں اللہ کو گواہ بنا کر کہتا ہوں ان میں سے بارہ وہ ہیں جو دنیا میں اور جس دن گواہ کھڑےہوں گے۔اللہ اور اس کے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے جنگ کرنے والے ہوں گے اور آپ نے تین کی معذرت قبول فرمائی انھوں نے کہا ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے منادی کی آواز نہیں سنی تھی اور نہ ہمیں پتہ تھا ان لوگوں کا ارادہ کیا ہے حضور اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سنگریزوں میں چل رہے تھے تو آپ نے فرمایا:"آگے تھوڑا سا پانی آنے والا ہے تو مجھ سے پہلے اس پر کوئی نہ پہنچے۔"سو آپ نے کچھ لوگوں کو پایا کہ وہ آپ سے پہلے پانی پر پہنچ چکے ہیں تو آپ نے ان پر لعنت بھیجی۔"
Hadhrat Abu Tufail (Razi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke Jang e Tabuk ki ghati walou mein se ek ka Hadhrat Hudhaifah (Razi Allahu Anhu) se jhagda hua jaisa ke logon mein ho hi jata hai to us ne kaha, main tumhen Allah ki qasam de kar poochta hoon, Ahle Aqabah kitne ashkhass the? To logon ne Hadhrat Hudhaifah (Razi Allahu Anhu) se kaha jab yeh aap se pooch raha hai to aap usay bata dein Hadhrat Hudhaifah (Razi Allahu Anhu) ne kaha hamen bataya jata tha woh chaudah the, agar tu bhi un ke saath tha to woh log pandrah ho gaye aur main Allah ko gawah bana kar kehta hoon un mein se barah woh hain jo duniya mein aur jis din gawah khade honge. Allah aur is ke Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) se jang karne wale honge aur aap ne teen ki ma'azrat qubool farmayi unhon ne kaha hum ne Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke munadi ki awaz nahi suni thi aur na hamen pata tha un logon ka irada kya hai Huzoor Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) sangrezou mein chal rahe the to aap ne farmaya: "Aage thoda sa pani aane wala hai to mujh se pehle us par koi na pahunche." So aap ne kuch logon ko paya ke woh aap se pehle pani par pahunch chuke hain to aap ne un par la'anat bheji.
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ جُمَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ، قَالَ كَانَ بَيْنَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعَقَبَةِ وَبَيْنَ حُذَيْفَةَ بَعْضُ مَا يَكُونُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ أَنْشُدُكَ بِاللَّهِ كَمْ كَانَ أَصْحَابُ الْعَقَبَةِ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْقَوْمُ أَخْبِرْهُ إِذْ سَأَلَكَ قَالَ كُنَّا نُخْبَرُ أَنَّهُمْ أَرْبَعَةَ عَشَرَ فَإِنْ كُنْتَ مِنْهُمْ فَقَدْ كَانَ الْقَوْمُ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ وَأَشْهَدُ بِاللَّهِ أَنَّ اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ مِنْهُمْ حَرْبٌ لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الأَشْهَادُ وَعَذَرَ ثَلاَثَةً قَالُوا مَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَلاَ عَلِمْنَا بِمَا أَرَادَ الْقَوْمُ . وَقَدْ كَانَ فِي حَرَّةٍ فَمَشَى فَقَالَ " إِنَّ الْمَاءَ قَلِيلٌ فَلاَ يَسْبِقُنِي إِلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ " . فَوَجَدَ قَوْمًا قَدْ سَبَقُوهُ فَلَعَنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ .
