Sahih Muslim 579a
Abdullah bin Zubair (رضي الله تعالی عنہ) narrated on the authority of his father that when the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sat in prayer he placed the left foot between his thigh and shank and stretched the right foot and placed his left hand on his left knee and placed his right hand on his right thigh, and raised his finger.
عامر بن عبداللہ بن زبیر رحمتہ اللہ علیہ اپنے باپ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب نماز میں بیٹھتے تو اپنے بائیں پیر کو اپنی ران اور اپنی پنڈلی کے درمیان کر لیتے اور دائیں پاؤں کو بچھا لیتے اور اپنا بایاں ہاتھ، اپنے بائیں گٹھنے پر رکھ لیتے اور اپنا دایاں ہاتھ اپنی دائیں ران پر رکھ لیتے اور انگلی سے اشارہ کرتے۔
Amir bin Abdullah bin Zubair (Rahmatullah Alayhi) apne baap se bayan karte hain ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) jab namaz mein baithte to apne bayein pair ko apni raan aur apni pindli ke darmiyan kar lete aur dayein paon ko bicha lete aur apna bayan hath, apne bayein gutne par rakh lete aur apna dayan hath apni dayein raan par rakh lete aur ungli se ishaara karte.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ رِبْعِيٍّ الْقَيْسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ - حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَامِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا قَعَدَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ جَعَلَ قَدَمَهُ الْيُسْرَى بَيْنَ فَخِذِهِ وَسَاقِهِ وَفَرَشَ قَدَمَهُ الْيُمْنَى وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعِهِ .
