Chapter: It is disliked to start a voluntary prayer after the Mu’adhdhin has started to say Iqamah for prayer, whether that is a regular sunnah, such as the sunnah of Subh or Zuhr, or anything else, and regardless of whether he knows that he will catch up

باب كَرَاهَةِ الشُّرُوعِ فِي نَافِلَةٍ بَعْدَ شُرُوعِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ
Sahih Muslim 710d
This Hadith has been narrated by Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) with another chain of transmitters. Hammad (one of the narrators) said, ‘I then met Amr (the other narrator) and he narrated it to me, but it was not transmitted directly from the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم).
امام صاحب ایک دوسرے استاد حماد بن زید کی سند سے ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی یہ روایت بیان کرتے ہیں، حماد کہتے ہیں پھر میں اپنے استاد عمرو سے ملا اس نے مجھے یہ حدیث سنائی، لیکن اس نے اس حدیث کی نسبت رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف نہیں کی (یعنی ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کا قول قرار دیا)۔
Imam sahab ek doosre ustad Hammad bin Zaid ki sanad se Abu Hurairah (Radiyallahu Anhu) ki yeh riwayat bayan karte hain, Hammad kehte hain phir mein apne ustad Amr se mila usne mujhe yeh hadith sunayi, lekin usne is hadith ki nisbat Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ki taraf nahi ki (yani Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu ka qaul qarar diya).
وَحَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . بِمِثْلِهِ . قَالَ حَمَّادٌ ثُمَّ لَقِيتُ عَمْرًا فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ .
