Sahih Muslim 730d
Abdullah bin Shaqiq al-Uqaili narrated that he asked Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) about the prayer of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) during the night (Tahajjud). She replied, he used to pray for a long time standing and for a long time sitting in the night, and when he recited the Qur'an while standing, he would bow himself from the standing position, and when he recited while sitting, he would bow from the sitting position.
عبداللہ بن شفیق عقیلی بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی رات کی نماز کے بارے میں سوال کیا؟ تو انہوں نے جواب دیا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رات کافی دیر تک کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھتے اور رات کا کافی حصہ بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھتے اور جب آپ کھڑے ہو کر قرأت کرتے تو رکوع بھی کھڑے ہو کر کرتے اور جب بیٹھ کر قرأت کرتے تو رکوع بھی بیٹھ کر کرتے۔
Abdullah bin Shaqeeq Aqili bayan karte hain ke maine Hazrat Aisha (Radiyallahu Anha) se Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ki raat ki namaz ke baare mein sawal kiya? Toh unhone jawab diya, Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) raat kaafi dair tak kharay ho kar namaz parhte aur raat ka kaafi hissa baith kar namaz parhte aur jab Aap kharay ho kar qiraat karte toh rukoo bhi kharay ho kar karte aur jab baith kar qiraat karte toh rukoo bhi baith kar karte.
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ صَلاَةِ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِاللَّيْلِ فَقَالَتْ كَانَ يُصَلِّي لَيْلاً طَوِيلاً قَائِمًا وَلَيْلاً طَوِيلاً قَاعِدًا وَكَانَ إِذَا قَرَأَ قَائِمًا رَكَعَ قَائِمًا وَإِذَا قَرَأَ قَاعِدًا رَكَعَ قَاعِدًا .
