Sahih Muslim 758c
Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘when half of the night or two-third of it is over. Allah, the Blessed and the Exalted, descends to the lowest heaven and says, is there any beggar, so that he be given? Is there anyone who supplicates so that he be answered? Is there any beggar of forgiveness so that he be forgiven? (And Allah continues it saying) till it is daybreak.
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب رات کا آدھا یا دو تہائی حصہ گزر جاتا ہے توا للہ تبارک وتعا لیٰ آسمان دنیا پر اترتے ہیں اور فرماتے ہیں کیا کوئی سائل ہے کہ اسے دیا جائے؟ کیا کوئی د عا کرنے والا ہے کہ اس کی دعا قبول کی جائے؟ کیا کوئی بخشش کا طلب گار ہے کہ اسے بخشا جائے حتیٰ کہ صبح پھوٹ پڑتی ہے۔ یعنی صبح ہو جاتی ہے“
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) bayan karte hain ke Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Jab raat ka aadha ya do tihayi hissa guzar jata hai to Allah tabarak wa ta'ala aasman-e-duniya par utarte hain aur farmate hain kya koi sa'il hai ke usay diya jaye? Kya koi dua karne wala hai ke us ki dua qabool ki jaye? Kya koi bakhshish ka talab-gar hai ke usay bakhsha jaye hatta ke subah phoot parti hai. Yani subah ho jati hai"
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا مَضَى شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ ثُلُثَاهُ يَنْزِلُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا فَيَقُولُ هَلْ مِنْ سَائِلٍ يُعْطَى هَلْ مِنْ دَاعٍ يُسْتَجَابُ لَهُ هَلْ مِنْ مُسْتَغْفِرٍ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ حَتَّى يَنْفَجِرَ الصُّبْحُ " .
