Sahih Muslim 761a
Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) prayed one night in the mosque and people also prayed along with him. He then prayed on the following night and there were many persons. Then on the third or fourth night (many people) gathered there, but the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) did not come out to them (for leading the Tarawih prayer). When it was morning he said, ‘I saw what you were doing, but I desisted to come to you (and lead the prayer) for I feared that this prayer might become obligatory for you. (He the narrator) said, it was the month of Ramadan.
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا بیان فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک رات مسجد میں نماز پڑھی تو کچھ لوگوں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی، پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دوسری ر ات نماز پڑھی تو لوگوں کی تعداد میں اضافہ ہو گیا، پھر تیسری یا چوتھی رات لوگ جمع ہو گئے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نکل کر ان کے پاس تشریف نہ یں لائے۔ جب صبح ہوئی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ” مجھے تمہارے پاس آنے سے صرف اس چیز نے روکا کہ مجھے خطرہ پیدا ہو گیا تھا کہ کہیں یہ نماز تم پر فرض نہ ہو جائے۔“اور یہ رمضان کا واقعہ ہے۔
Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha) bayan farmati hain ke Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne ek raat masjid mein namaz parhi to kuch logon ne Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke sath namaz parhi, phir Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne dusri raat namaz parhi to logon ki tadad mein izafa ho gaya, phir teesri ya chauthi raat log jama ho gaye to Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) nikal kar un ke paas tashreef na laye. Jab subah hui to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Mujhe tumhare paas aane se sirf is cheez ne roka ke mujhe khatra paida ho gaya tha ke kahin ye namaz tum par farz na ho jaye." Aur ye Ramazan ka waqia hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلَّى فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَصَلَّى بِصَلاَتِهِ نَاسٌ ثُمَّ صَلَّى مِنَ الْقَابِلَةِ فَكَثُرَ النَّاسُ ثُمَّ اجْتَمَعُوا مِنَ اللَّيْلَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ فَلَمْ يَخْرُجْ إِلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ " قَدْ رَأَيْتُ الَّذِي صَنَعْتُمْ فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي مِنَ الْخُرُوجِ إِلَيْكُمْ إِلاَّ أَنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ تُفْرَضَ عَلَيْكُمْ " . قَالَ وَذَلِكَ فِي رَمَضَانَ .
