Chapter: The prayer and the supplication of the Prophet (saws) at night

باب الدُّعَاءِ فِي صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ وَقِيَامِهِ
Sahih Muslim 763h
Salama narrated that he met Kuraib and he reported Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) as saying, ‘I was with my mother's sister, Ummul Momineen Maimuna (رضي الله تعالى عنها) and the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came there and then he narrated the rest of the Hadith as was narrated by Ghundar and said these words, ‘make me light’, beyond any doubt.
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں اپنی خالہ میمونہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے ہاں تھا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آئے، آگے مذکورہ بالا حدیث ہے، لیکن اس میں شک کے بغیر (وَاجْعَلْنِي نُورًا) ہے، یعنی ”مجھے سراپا نور بنا دے۔“
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhuma) bayan karte hain ke mein apni khala Maimoonah (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha) ke haan tha to Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) aaye, aage mazkoora bala hadith hai, lekin is mein shak ke baghair (Waj'alni Nooran) hai, yani "Mujhe sarapa noor bana de."
وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، . قَالَ سَلَمَةُ فَلَقِيتُ كُرَيْبًا فَقَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ غُنْدَرٍ . وَقَالَ " وَاجْعَلْنِي نُورًا " . وَلَمْ يَشُكَّ .
