Explanation of Surah An-Naziat

تفسير سورة النازعات

Mustadrak Al Hakim 3893

Regarding the verses: "By those (angels) who violently pull out the souls of the disbelievers (at death), and those (angels) who gently take away the souls of the believers," (An-Nazi'at: 1, 2) Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) said: "(This means) death." ** This Hadith is Sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him), but it is not narrated by the two Sheikhs (Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim).

" حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما : وَ النّٰزِعٰتِ غَرْقًا وَّ النّٰشِطٰتِ نَشْطًا ( النازعات : 1 ، 2 ) ’’ قسم ان کی کہ سختی سے جان کھینچیں ، اور نرمی سے بند کھولیں ۔‘‘ ( ترجمہ کنزالایمان ، امام احمد رضا رحمۃ اللہ علیہ ) کے متعلق فرماتے ہیں ( اس سے مراد ) موت ہے ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔"

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas Radi Allaho Anhuma Wal Nazeaati Gharqan Wan Nashetati Nashtan (Al Nazeaat: 1, 2) Qasam Unki Ke Sakhti Se Jaan Kheinchein, Aur Narmi Se Band Kholein. (Tarjama Kanzul Iman, Imam Ahmad Raza Rehmatullah Alaihe) Ke Mutaliq Farmaty Hain (Iss Se Murad) Maut Hai. ** Yeh Hadees Imam Bukhari Rehmatullah Alaihe Aur Imam Muslim Rehmatullah Alaihe Ke Miyyaar Ke Mutabiq Sahih Hai Lekin Sheikhain Rehmatullah Alaihema Ne Isse Naqal Nahi Kiya.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، {وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقًا وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطًا} [النازعات: 2] قَالَ: «الْمَوْتُ» صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ "" [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 3893 - على شرط البخاري ومسلم

Mustadrak Al Hakim 3894

Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: When a third of the night passed, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would say: "O people! Remember the blessings of Allah. O people! The Destroyer (death) has come, followed by what follows it (i.e., the torments of the grave). Death is coming (with all its hardships)." So Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah, I send abundant blessings upon you. So how much should I send blessings upon you?" He (ﷺ) replied: "As much as you wish." ** This hadith is Sahih (authentic) in its chain of narration, but Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) did not narrate it.

" حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں : جب رات کا ایک چوتھائی حصہ گزر جاتا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ فرماتے : اے لوگو ! اللہ کی نعمتوں کو یاد کرو ۔ اے لوگو ! یاد کرو تھرتھرانے والی آ گئی ، اس کے پیچھے آئے گی پیچھے آنے والی موت آئے گی ( ان تکلیفوں سمیت ) جو اس میں ہیں ۔ تو حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا : یا رسول اللہ ﷺ میں آپ پر کثرت سے درود پڑھتا ہوں تو میں آپ پر کس قدر درود پڑھوں ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : جتنا چاہے ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے لیکن امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔"

Hazrat Abi bin Kaab Radi Allaho Anho farmate hain : Jab raat ka aik chauthai hissa guzar jata to Rasool Allah Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam farmate : Aye logo ! Allah ki naimaton ko yaad karo . Aye logo ! Yaad karo thartharane wali aa gayi , is ke peeche aye gi peeche ane wali maut aye gi ( in takleefon samet ) jo is mein hain . To Hazrat Abi bin Kaab Radi Allaho Anho ne kaha : Ya Rasool Allah Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam mein aap par kasrat se durood parhta hon to mein aap par kis qadar durood parhon ? Aap ne farmaya : Jitna chahe . ** Yeh hadees sahih al-isnaad hai lekin Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih aur Imam Muslim Rahmatullah Alaih ne ise naqal nahin kya .

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنِ الطُّفَيْلِ بْنِ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا ذَهَبَ رُبْعُ اللَّيْلِ، قَالَ: «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ، يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اذْكُرُوا جَاءَتِ الرَّاجِفَةُ تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ، جَاءَ الْمَوْتُ بِمَا فِيهِ» فَقَالَ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنِّي أُكْثِرُ الصَّلَاةَ عَلَيْكَ، فَكَمْ أَجْعَلُ لَكَ مِنْ صَلَاتِي؟ قَالَ: «مَا شِئْتَ» الْحَدِيثُ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 3894 - صحيح

Mustadrak Al Hakim 3895

The Mother of the Believers, Aisha Radi Allahu Anha narrates: The Holy Prophet ﷺ was being asked about the Day of Judgement. Finally, this verse was revealed: “They ask thee of the Hour, when will it come to pass. What concern hast thou with the knowledge thereof? Unto thy Lord belongeth (the knowledge of) the term thereof.” (Quran 79:42-43) [Translation: Kanz-ul-Imaan, Imam Ahmad Raza Khan] **Note:** This hadith is sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, but it is not narrated by either of them. Ibn Uyainah transmits it with an interrupted chain of narration.

" ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتی ہیں : نبی اکرم ﷺ سے قیامت کے متعلق سوال کیا جاتا تھا بالآخر آپ پر یہ آیت نازل ہوئی : یَسْئَلُوْنَکَ عَنِ السَّاعَۃِ اَیَّانَ مُرْسٰھَا فِیْمَ اَنْتَ مِنْ ذِکْرٰہَا ( النازعات : 42 ، 43 ) ’’ تم سے قیامت کو پوچھتے ہیں کہ وہ کب کے لئے ٹھہری ہوئی ہے تمہیں اس کے بیان سے کیا تعلق ، تمہارے رب ہی تک اس کی انتہاء ہے ۔‘‘ ( ترجمہ کنزالایمان ، امام احمد رضا رحمۃ اللہ علیہ ) ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔ ابن عیینہ دوسری سند میں ارسال کرتے ہیں ۔"

Umm al-Momineen Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a farmati hain : Nabi Akram ﷺ se qayamat ke mutalliq sawal kiya jata tha bal akhir aap par yeh ayat nazil hui : Yas'alunaka 'anis-sa'ati ayyana mursaha fima anta min zikraha ( An-Nazi'at : 42 , 43 ) 'Tum se qayamat ko puchte hain ki woh kab ke liye thehri hui hai tumhen is ke bayan se kya talluq , tumhare rab hi tak is ki inteha hai .' ( Tarjuma Kanzul Iman , Imam Ahmad Raza Rahmatullah Alaih ) ** Yeh hadees Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih aur Imam Muslim Rahmatullah Alaih ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin Sheikhein Rahmatullah Alaihema ne ise naql nahin kiya . Ibn 'Uyaynah dusri sanad mein irsal karte hain .

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَسَدِيُّ، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُسْأَلُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ حَتَّى أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ {يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا فِيمَ أَنْتَ مِنْ ذِكْرَاهَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ مُنْتَهَاهَا} [النازعات: 43] "، قَالَ: «فَانْتَهَى» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ، فَإِنَّ ابْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ كَانَ يُرْسِلُهُ بِآخِرِهِ "
