Mustadrak Al Hakim 1943
It is narrated on the authority of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to seek refuge in Allah from five things: (1) Cowardice (2) Miserliness (3) A miserable life (4) The punishment of the grave and (5) The trial of the end (meaning that a person should die while involved in a trial and, God forbid, not get a chance to repent). ** This hadith is sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of both Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him), but neither of them have narrated it.
" حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے منقول ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ پانچ چیزوں سے پناہ مانگا کرتے تھے : ( 1 ) بزدلی ( 2 ) بخل ( 3 ) بری زندگی ( 4 ) عذابِ قبر اور ( 5 ) فتنۂ صدر سے ( یعنی آدمی کسی فتنہ میں مبتلا ہو کر مَر جائے اور معاذاللہ توبہ کا موقع نہ ملے ) ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ و امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ دونوں کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن دونوں نے ہی اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔"
Hazrat Umar Radi Allaho Anhu se manqol hai keh Nabi Akram SAW panch cheezon se panah manga karte thy: (1) buzdali (2) bukhl (3) buri zindagi (4) azab-e-qabar aur (5) fitna-e-sadr se (yani aadmi kisi fitna mein mubtala ho kar mar jaye aur maazallah toba ka mauqa na mily). ** Ye hadees Imam Bukhari rehmatullah alaih wa Imam Muslim rehmatullah alaih donon ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin donon ne hi ise naqal nahi kiya.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ بِمَرْوَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنْبَأَ إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ خَمْسٍ مِنَ: الْجُبْنِ، وَالْبُخْلِ، وَسُوءِ الْعُمُرِ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَفِتْنَةِ الصَّدْرِ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ، وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ»
