Mustadrak Al Hakim 2232
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to those who weigh and measure: "You are engaged in a profession (in which negligence led to the destruction of) the nations before you.” ** This hadith is sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of authentic hadith, but Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) did not narrate it.
" ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں : رسول اللہ ﷺ نے تولنے اور ماپنے والوں سے فرمایا : تم نے ایسا پیشہ اپنا رکھا ہے ( جس میں کوتاہی کرنے کی وجہ سے ) سابقہ امتیں ہلاک ہو گئیں ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے لیکن امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے اس کو نقل نہیں کیا ۔"
Ibn Abbas raziallahu anhuma farmate hain : Rasool Allah ﷺ ne tolne aur mapne walon se farmaya : tum ne aisa pesha apna rakha hai ( jis mein kotahi karne ki wajah se ) sabaq ummatiں halaak ho gain . ** yeh hadees sahih al asnad hai lekin Imam Bukhari rehmatullah alaih aur Imam Muslim rehmatullah alaih ne is ko naqal nahin kiya .
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ، أَنْبَأَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَنْبَأَ خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَصْحَابِ الْكَيْلِ وَالْوَزْنِ: «إِنَّكُمْ قَدْ وُلِّيتُمْ أَمْرًا فِيهِ هَلَكَةُ الْأُمَّةِ السَّالِفَةِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ "" [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 2232 - حسين بن قيس ضعفوه
